St John 14:12-17
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it.
15 If ye love Me, keep My commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
• That which is done of a person’s spirit is permanent; that which is done of the flesh and to the flesh is merely temporary.
• Greater works are defined as the works that the disciples, believers, new creatures, or followers of Christ Jesus will do after He has ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father and after the Comforter (The Holy Ghost) comes.
• Greater works is the Spirit of God working with them and confirming His Word with signs following. (St Mark 15:20)
Acts 1:8-9 8 But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
• Uttermost means to go further and greater than your home, family, and friends.
• Uttermost means extreme, being in the furthest, greatest, or highest degree.
• To the uttermost means in the most extensive degree; fully.
• New creatures that are disciples, followers, and witnesses have work to do in Salvation.
• The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the promise of being spiritually equipped for greater works in world-wide campaigns witnessing, testifying, preaching, and ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Greater works is the Great Commission by going into all the world, preaching the Gospel to every creature telling them that he that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. (St Mark 15:15-16).
• To be damned means to be condemned by God to suffer eternal punishment in hell.
• When you reject the God and His Will its not a just because I chose not to there is a consequence to your soul and its eternity.
• Greater works are signs that follow them that believe; in Jesus Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (St Mark 15:17-18).
• These are the greater works that shall follow them that believe!
St John 14:26 But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
• God did not leave us to do this work alone, nor does He expect us to engineer our own plan in His plan for the soul of mankind. So, He gives us His Spirit to be lead by, taught by, instructed by, and to even discipline us when we are in error of His Will.
• The work of the Holy Ghost is to come, dwell, comfort¸ teach¸ and keep your spiritual memory regulated in remembrance of the things that Christ has done and to do what He tells us to do.
• The Holy Ghost comes to dwell in you and even come upon you to do a work for the Spirit of God.
• Greater works are the “transforming power of the lives of souls” that we encounter daily.
• To perform greater works is to have the faith of Jesus that will make us one with Christ Jesus.
• The works we do shall be (will be) the work of the Son in you as a son.
• Sons of God perform, demonstrate, and manifest the Will of the Father and Son through the Holy Ghost and the Will of the Word of God.
• This is why when we pray, we must pray that the Will of God be done in earth so as it is in Heaven. Not my Will or what I want!
• Everything we do and say must be the Will of God for His Glory, Pleasure, and Honor.
• The whole work of the Church (the Body of Christ) as one in one accord is not to be sought out in an individual or individuals, but exemplified in and through those that are in the Body of Christ as members of His Body.
• Greater works brings the Body of Christ together as one in unity of the same faith.
Ephesians 4:13 comes alive in the earth. 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
• For example, you are not doing greater works as a member of Christ Body, and it never affects His entire body.
• You are not serving the Body of Christ and its members when it only consists of your friends and family!
• Greater works are the influencing power of Christ Jesus in every born-again new creature that believes on Him in the Body of Christ, demonstrating and manifesting the growth of the mighty power over all the kingdoms of this world.
• Whereas everywhere my footsteps tread (go) we declare the righteousness of God. Psalm 89:13 righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
• Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
• New creatures in Christ (that is in His Body) should be working the works of Christ, as Christ did, as well as the reasons why He did the greater works.
• Greater work is Christ Jesus walking the earth again through His ambassadors, His representatives representing The Representative Himself in Heaven.
• In other words, never doing anything of yourself but always what the Father tells you to do. As a Son Jesus never did anything of Himself. Why? So that the world would know that He loves the Father and as the Father gave Him commandment, that He did. (St John 14:31)
• Greater works are not separated, divided, or an individual work that is only designed to lift the name of the individual(s) with their visionary motives to impress man as he makes a name for himself.
• Greater work is being able to take that same hope, trust, love, and faith that you have in Christ and to give it to another soul in need of the same hope of His glory.
• Greater works will take you before kings and queens to allow the Words of Jesus Christ, the Word of God to become the great antidote to their troubled hearts, its issues, circumstances, and situations through the effects of faith in Him.
Proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
• What is a great man in your eyesight? What makes a man great in the earth?
• A great man is the study of the history or linage of a man and his background explained by the impact of great men or greatness in his past, or heroes; highly influential, unique individuals, and wealthy, who to their natural attributes, such as their intellect, heroic courage, leadership abilities, or divine inspirations, etc. Their impact is so great and so significant that they can change the course of history.
• This is why man relates to the past history of many instead of trusting in and relying on the Spirit of God for his impact in life.
• Greater works should take you into lofty (of imposing height) and misty (foggy, smoggy, cloudy, murky) areas, regions where you can barely breathe or see your way clearly to reach out and win a soul(s).
• Greater works are to share the Good News of Salvation with lost souls with the ability (the power) to lead them to the Throne of Grace for their spiritual healing and deliverance.
• Speaking the Words of Christ Jesus as you obey them is the greater working power of the Spirit of God in you.
• Your flesh is evil and wicked; the mind of the flesh is carnal and will not, nor will it ever allow you to indulge in or do greater works because of its feelings and being an enemy of God. (Romans 8:5-8).
• Greater works will never be done by or with feelings, gut feelings, intuitions, positive or negative energy; spirit guides, witchcraft, etc.
• The perpetual influence of Jesus Christ recorded works is the present influence of His present work today being worked today as He did when He was physically on earth. That’s greater work!
• Miracles are defined as a surprising and welcomed event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency. This is Webster and their definition!
• Miracle biblically defined is when the Spirit of the Lord comes in the earth and hoovers there.
• Miracles are simply dominion over earth. The Kingdom of Heaven dominates the environment.
• Whereas healing, blind eyes, deaf ears, lame walking, dead raised, etc., is the Kingdom taking dominion over the earth and correcting cells, blood, breath, organs, etc., in the bodies here on earth.
• Greater work through you is when the power hits you and you begin to make an impact in your community, on your job, while traveling, etc., regardless of what people say or try to do to stop you.
• Greater works are in reference to the outpouring success in the number of souls saved, acknowledging Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior over their soul and its life on earth and its life to come.
• Soul winning is a harvester’s thirst for others to be lavished with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the same manner as you are.
• It is through our surrendered life, lifestyle, faith, gifts, willingness, and obedience that many will experience and encounter the same as you in Christ.
• He who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30).
• Jesus is the greatest soul winner ever walked earth!
• Soul winning is the greater work with the tools and instruments given by the Holy Spirit to successfully supply the Kingdom of Heaven’s pleasures, needs, and desires for all souls.
• The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. The seeds from your fruit of righteousness are planted in the hearts of many that you will encounter through and in your greater works.
• Jesus said by their fruit you shall know them. Are you known for your fruit of righteousness? One plant and one water the seeds of righteousness, but God gives the increase to that soul (1 Corinthians 3:6).
• Winning souls is every new creature’s job of responsibility. It is the wise and right thing to do.
• So, the greater work of a disciple and a follower of Christ is the success of winning souls to Christ for Christ.
• We become the tree of life to many! And God will reward your righteousness while you are on earth (Proverbs 11:31).
• God’s greatest masterpiece is His perfect creation of man created out of Himself.
• To perform, demonstrate, and manifest greater works is to know and rule in your area of calling and giftings.
St Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
• The greatest work is to believe in Him whom God has sent, observe and do all things He has commanded, to love one another just as Christ has commanded, and permit (allow) the Holy Spirit to do all the works and give Him all the credit and glory for them.
St John 6:28-29 28 Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.
Amen
