• If the people of God knew and really understood how demonic and deadly their flesh really is, they would follow the exact Will of the Word of God to discipline it to crucify it.
• If they really know and understand that their flesh is against God, they would not be feeling anything and everything; if they really knew and understand that their flesh has the serpentine nature of the serpent, a character of Satan, the one that beguiled Eve.
• If believers were knowledgeable in the Spirit of Truth that their flesh is carnal; it is an enemy to God; and is not subject to the Law of God. (Romans 8:7). They would discipline it to prepare it for its death by nailing it to their cross for crucifixion.
St Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
To be a disciple of Jesus you must deny yourself, your worldly desires, your selfishness, and be ready to be persecuted and suffer for His namesake by your flesh, family, friends, and foes.
• If the believers and or people of God knew and understood that to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6). Then will they discipline their flesh so that the way of the Holy Spirit can have preeminence (superiority).
• In our fleshy way the wage of our sin is death; and the gift of God is eternal life in Him. (Romans 6:23).
• If we really are living a spiritual life in and through our spirituality, then we will believe, accept, demonstrate, and portray the Word of God in its entirety and our flesh would not be able to deceive us by mocking God in our unbelieve and lack of knowledge of Him.
Galatians 6:7-8 7 Be not deceived for God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
• Discipline is an admonishing or calling to soundness of mind, or to self-control.
• Webster and they call it a “practice” of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience; to “train” to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.
• Discipline is a spiritual word for the spirituality of man (male and female).
• Discipline is for the new creature in you as it kills the old man and its nature by the Spirit of the Word of God believed and accepted.
• Disciplining is a lifelong process that must become routine in your earthly life and lifestyle.
• Your flesh is the devil’s workshop and his device that he uses against you and me. He gained access to your flesh through deceiving Adam and Eve’s in the Word(s) of God spoken to them in the Garden of Eden.
• Since all mankind was in the loins of Adam and Eve their one flesh became knowledgeable from their disobedience, with the belief of being as gods so, knowing good and evil became more appeasing to them, than to obey that which they already known.
• The process of Salvation is to discipline and condemn all flesh for crucifixion along with its works and deeds that have become the old man’s habitat, desires, practice, behavior, and lust in the knowledge of good and evil.
• It is in the flesh where all the problems, issues, cares, concerns, and circumstances of mankind lie!
• The flesh job is to make the body sick to keep your soul spiritually dead to the spirituality of Christ and to never be awaken by the heard Word of God to receive His Holy Spirit in your spirit. So that the Spirit of God can rule in the earth through the whole man of man (that is male and female because we all are spirit man encased in a body that is genderized, possessing a soul).
• The Word of God comes to discipline your flesh to crucify it to disciple you (your authentic self which is spirit) for His Will to be done.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
• It is the flesh of man that causes him to fear! To fear the Will and Works of the Spirit of God – His Creator.
• Satan evil works is sins fruit. It is the works of the flesh listed in Galatians 5:19-21.
• Your soul is so important to God! It is the most important part of the triune (consisting of 3 in 1) make up of man.
• God created man in His own image meaning we have His Spirit nature (that’s man’s spirit) and His moral character (that is the soul of man); and we were made after their likeness meaning we have the ability to function like Him.
• God only functions by faith!
• It is time for every born-again believer, experiencing and encountering a new life in Christ to get their flesh under the total control of the Spirit of God before it is too late.
• It will take more than just memorizing the Word, it must be in your heart.
• Singing songs that make you feel good will not crucify your flesh, nor will they deliver you.
• Following everything saying Jesus and speaking in tongues with a Word from the Lord God will not prepare you for the things to come, because most of this stuff is designed to keep you in the flesh.
• Discipline your flesh so that your soul can be discipline according to the Will of God.
• Learn to discipline yourself now so in the days to come you will know how to put all your confidence in Christ; rely solely on Him; and become dependent on Him and His Will.
• You cannot be independent and serve the Lord God! He is the King that provides for His people, His Kingdom.
• Get God’s plan for your spiritual development without tradition and religions additives and your feelings. Try that!!
• Learn to discipline yourself in your spiritual growth because whoever controls your heart controls your soul.
• Your soul receives from your body to feed your spirit.
• Your flesh overrides your body to feed your soul unrighteousness and your soul will give this unrighteousness to your spirit.
• If the Spirit of God has consummated your spirit so He can dwell in your spirit, then the Holy Spirit will take control and begin to feed your soul His righteousness; and your soul will feed your body righteousness that will kill your flesh.
• Consummate here means that the Spirit of God must impregnate your spirit with His Spirit and He gives birth to you/us again through Himself.
• This is the sealing of your born-again experience to become a new creature in Christ.
In closing,
• All unrighteousness is sin. (1 John 5:17).
• Many hearts of the believers and even unbelievers have waxed cold to the truth.
• This is why even believers can go along with supporting and assisting sin in others.
• Many believers will suppress or repress righteousness to continue in comfort in their wrong way and validate their wrong with excuses in their weaknesses, laziness, doubt, trying to believe and do, etc. This really is what sin does in the flesh!
• Suppress means to forcibly put and end to; repress, conquer, subdue; consciously inhibit to avoid considering it. This is what we do to and with the Word of God when we won’t obey it!
• This is the power of your Will. All of what we do wrong and use against righteousness, but we still believe and say that we love God.
• Your flesh makes you a hypocrite!
Romans 1:18 KJV Amplified For God’s [holy] wrath and indignation are revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who is their wickedness repress and hinder the truth and make it inoperative.
• Once your flesh has been set up to be disciplined by the Word of God it is ready to be crucified and put to death. Then will the kingdom of darkness (Satan’s kingdom) its control and its influence over your whole self (body, soul, and spirit) will be destroyed and ceased. So, the Spirit of the Word can now cleanse your soul and spirit from the rudiments, debris, scattered and remaining pieces of your past and its waste from the knowledge of good and evil we were once born in, grew up in, educated in, lived in, portrayed in, demonstrated, etc. will be over and done with. Now you will be free to live as a born-again, new creature in Christ believing, willingly obeying, and doing the Will of God as it is in Heaven.
• Your flesh my flesh and all flesh carry the same nature and character of the serpent that was filled with the spirit of the devil (once Lucifer, but in his fallen state) in the Garden in Genesis 3:1, now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.
• Subtle means making use of clever and indirect methods to achieve something; crafty; cunning; guile (sly or cunning intelligence); deviousness; schemes; tricks; ploy; ingenuity; misleading others through lies and trickery; etc.
• Many saints have not been delivered and sanctified from these traits of their flesh.
• All sin is sin! Discipline your flesh now to prepare it for its crucifixion according to the Word of God.
• ONLY the Word of God can crucify your flesh, its works, deeds, habits, behavior, lust, and desires.
• ONLY the Word of God in Spirit and in Truth knows how to subdue the world, the flesh, and the devil.
