• What is it that separates God from those other gods? Well, He is the God that created all things and everything. He is the God of all flesh, Jeremiah 32:27 says behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for Me?
• He is the only God that says don’t fear the one that can kill your body and is not able to kill your soul but fear the one that is able to destroy both body and soul, St Matthew 10:28.
• He is the one and only God that is omnipotence and there is none like Him. Can other gods state this and have proof?
• His creation is the work of His hand that exemplifies and demonstrates His omnipotence: almighty power; unlimited, infinite power over all things and everything.

Isaiah 40:12-15, 28-29

12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being His counsellor hath taught Him?

14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of judgment, and taught Him knowledge, and shewed to Him the way of understanding?

15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

28 Hast thou not known: Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

• This is the new creature in you being born-again and transformed into the likeness of His Son Jesus.
• Not to mention how He looked through the generations and time and said this one is Mine, so He saved me.
• This God cannot be figured out by man and his finite power and understanding.
• No other god holds a light to Him that will continue to shine. He is God all by Himself!
• Don’t just believe in God but come into His knowledge of Him to “KNOW” Him.
• In the days to come you are going to need to know your God and His strength. You are going to need to know His strength in you and for you.

Exodus 20:1-3

1 AND God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, and out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.

• This is the first commandment of God’s ten commandments telling us that we are not to have no other gods before God.
• I’ll go on to say that we should not have any other gods period before God or with God.
• The Holy Scriptures teach us that there is only ONE God, and all other gods are false.
• Choosing the One God to serve verses the many gods to serve is a no brainer!
• God is the God that will make you free and keep you free from all things and everything that is contrary to Him and is an enemy to Him for your souls’ sake.
• Ask yourself today who is it that is keeping you out of the bondage of (your) sin?
• Now, if your first response is a person, place, or thing then God then you are still in bondage.
• Today our choice and response must be Christ Jesus.
• Christ is the anointed one in Jesus.
• Christ is the spirit part of Jesus which makes Him God.
• Don’t just believe God but come into the knowledge of Him to know Him to permit Him to be the God of your Salvation and all its benefits.
• For even the demons believe and tremble at what they know!

James 2:19-20 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

• So, when you say that you believe in God but show no evidence or proof of your faith with fruit then your belief is just like the demon’s belief.
• Why do we get saved, go through a partial transforming process of Salvation to just transgress His commandments to end up going back after the other gods of the flesh?
• Is it because God takes too long to respond and give what you are asking for based upon what you know about Him? Or are you constantly praying to God and don’t “feel” like He hears you.
• Does Salvation bore you? Do you get tired of just serving God through Jesus in Spirit and in Truth because you don’t see the fun in it?
• Boring means a dull or tiresome person; something that is devoid of interest: as in traditions and religions habits, practices, lust, behavior, and mannerism.
• When a believer becomes bored with the Word of God and His Way of processing you into a new creature in Him it is because your soul is still asleep. He has not been awakened by the heard Word of God. You have not heard the Word of God as you supposed.
• Only the flesh gets bored! Your spirit will never be bored with or from the Word of God and its prescriptions for your souls awakening.
• This is why many Houses of Prayer have turned to entertainment, amusement, and fun to arouse the believers (Saints) and make them be happy about their external being and not their internal being.
• Being controlled by the flesh means you are still trying to live by your own strength and under your own directions and instructions in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Life in the Spirit means that the Holy Spirit accomplishes what we need and what we cannot do ourselves.
• Flesh is our enemy and takes the lead over sin, the world, the flesh, and the devil to fight against our inward man and his righteousness in Christ.
• Flesh is God’s enemy toward His authority, though He is the God of all flesh.

• What are “other gods today?” Other gods are any gods other than the Lord God Himself. They are false gods that are in the mind of the heart of the believer and the sinner.
• Selfishness is a god that opposes your faith in God.
• Lust is a god that opposes your hope in Christ.
• Pride is a god that opposes your love and being in love with Christ Jesus.
• These have been around as long as man has and is the works of his flesh found in Galatians 5:19-21.
• The works of the flesh creates gods of the flesh.
• The works of the flesh gives man the ideal that his flesh has its own mind and desires through sinful impulses and carnal cravings that seems right to man.
• Other modern-day gods of the flesh are idolatry; cults, graven images, or deities of Pagan religions, as well as other competing entities or objects to which particular importance is attributed to.

Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

• Why is it so important to Satan that you don’t praise, worship, and honor God? What do other gods want? It is important to Satan because he thinks that he is a god worthy to be praised by God’s creation.
• Other gods created by man want worship and your total allegiance to them or it. The systems of this world, its principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, and in their spiritual wickedness wants your allegiance to be solely to them because they “feel” like they are gods, and nothing can stop them in their evil wickedness.
• Other gods today also include prioritizing material possessions, wealth, fame, relationships, social medias, rise in physical appearances where the popularity of the flesh is above spiritual values; excessive attachments to politics, sports teams; investing of your time, energy, and resources in all the worldly stuff to get ahead; seeking guidance from man’s religious doctrines instead of the spirituality of God that is created in man from God; technology and its use to seek validation and worth through external validations and ungodly means that have been designed by man to deceive through phones, iPhones, iPad, tablets, watches, ear buds ; worshipping the creation instead of the Creator; being seduced by the things of this world; seeking your identity in all the wrong things such as positions, jobs, abilities, talents, skills, and achievements.
• The gods of entertainment have become an obsession: Netflix, Tik Tok, Podcasts, commentators, etc. Everybody is exposing everybody!
• Sex is do it until you’re satisfied whether it be through fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality. Whatever high sex will give man is into it?  

• God’s commandments protect God and His interest in you and toward you.
• In the natural law of man, the law makers are the law breakers.
• God’s commandments should not be broken, should not be used to influence and manipulate, or broken to serve other gods.
• God saves us with and through His investment Jesus for His purpose on the earth and toward the earth.

• What is a commandment? A commandment is a command; a mandate (give authority to act in a certain way); and order or injunction given by authority (God); charge; precept.
• A commandment(s) is a prescription of God’s directions, concerning His Will and His Way to be observed by His people as it shows His love for those that keep and do them.  
• All of God’s word is His commandment that is needful for the spirit being in you and I to live, survive, and to be instructed daily according to His Will.

In closing,

• Prayerfully evaluate your life and lifestyle that is in Christ Jesus through Salvation to make sure that nothing has become more important in your new life than God Himself.
• Evaluate yourself in how you spend your time and where you spend your time as a new creature in Christ.
• I didn’t say compare your life and lifestyle to others but evaluate it with the Word of God and its prescribed methods.
• Now, if you are not in Christ, I already know how you spend your time and where.  Evaluate yourself to see where you spend your money the most and what you spend it on.
• Evaluate yourself to find out what really turns on the joy of your Salvation in Christ in you. Evaluate your mindset as it pertains to your Salvation and its righteousness.
• To have a knowledge of all of this will really help you to know if there are other gods that you have placed in your life and how much of your allegiance is to them or it.
• Other gods and idol worshipping today is different than it was back in the Old Testament times and in other countries, but it still exists in man as long as his flesh is still not crucified according to the Will of God and His Word.
