Paul served God with his spirit. Are you serving God with and in your spirit or with your humanity?

Apostle Tracey Robinson All Rights Reserved 2023

St John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

  • God is a Spirit, that is a spiritual Being.
  • We are all spirit beings of the species Man incorporated in male and female genders.
  • To worship God, we as spirit beings must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
  • We all must serve God with and in our spirit Man, not with our humanity which is the characteristics which unite all person’s despite of their many individual differences and constitute them as God’s image (Genesis 1:27).
  • Humanity is the human race; human beings collectively; learning or literature concerned with human culture, especially literature, history, art, music, and philosophy.
  • We should not serve God according to our Will, mind, intellect, thinking, opinion, or feelings according to our old nature in the knowledge of good and evil.
  • Paul’s Damascus encounter was God’s set up to bring him into His righteousness, that is “right standing with God” as Saul. This was his conversion from Saul to Paul. (Acts 9).
  • Conversion means the act of changing from one form or use to another, or the state of being converted.
  • The Spirit of God changed this man: his mindset, his heart, his Will, and his way toward God and His righteousness.
  • Paul’s servitude began suddenly. He was immediately changed in his religious beliefs, logic, guilt, and sin to becoming a teachable vessel by the divine direction of the voice that had spoken to him.
  • All at once this happened!
  • In your encounter with Christ did you hear the voice of God calling you into His righteousness? If so, immediately what did you do? Did you suddenly change? Where is your fruit of this labor? Are you still bearing fruit of righteousness?
  • Paul calls himself the Apostle of the Gentiles in Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
  • Paul’s mission was to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles.
  • Christ Jesus chose Paul to be a servant of Christ for the Gentiles and to do the work of a priest in the service of His good news. God did this so that the Holy Spirit could make the Gentiles into a holy offering, pleasing to Him.

Romans 15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the Gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 3:6-12

6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the Gospel:

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.

  • Paul will become the only Jesus Christ that many will see and hear.
  • Paul was well-educated and well-qualified, called by Christ Jesus, and led by the Holy Spirit to be the apostle of the Gentiles.
  • Paul wasn’t playing Church, he carried himself as the Church with his Head being Jesus Christ.
  • Paul made his spiritual life and human life the same.
  • He set the example just as Jesus did: to be dead in the flesh is to walk in the spirit and by the Spirit. To die daily is to live in the Spirit.
  • Paul taught us that prayer is spiritual and is a spiritual act to communicate with the Spirit of God.
  • The flesh looks for comfort and will not pray.
  • Walking here means to remail in the activities of righteousness; remain to dwell; comprehend that with everything in you.
  • When we walk by the Spirit, after the Spirit, and in the Spirit, it is your soul (the inward man) that is in control of your whole being.
  • Your Soul has come alive by the heard Word of God and the breath of the Spirit.
  • What does serving God in you look like to those that know of your conversion?
  • Are you serving God with and in your spirit or with your humanity? To serve God with and in your spirit is to live a new life, a total life that is in accordance with the Will of God. To have an intimate a relationship with God that will lead, guide, and instruct you into serving others a “pure” love to others. That same love that was bestowed upon you must be bestowed upon others by you as the Spirit leads you to do so. A new commandment that I give to you that you love one another as I have loved you. (St John 13:34).
  • Not a love that compromises with the sin, transgression, and iniquity of others, especially flesh and blood relatives, but a pure love that is not mixed with the unadulterated contamination of the substance and materials learned in and under the old nature that serves only in the knowledge of good and evil through their flesh and its influence through their 5-sense understanding.
  • To serve God in your spirit is to do what is pleasing and pleasurable according to His Will and to make Him look pleasing and pleasurable to others to come to Jesus. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee, James 4:7.
  • Serving God with your humanity is to be in a state of confusion and ignorance because you watch others in their way of imaging servitude to the Spirit of God. This is choosing what is most comfortable and compromising to you when you do this.
  • Does it paint a picture of the flesh, the world, and the devil? Can others encounter Christ through what they see, hear, and from your lifestyle of spirituality?
  • Is your worship audible or vocal or is it only motivated by music?
  • Although music is used as a vehicle to usher you into worship, but worshipping God is a spiritual process with God.
  • To worship God is a spiritual, hearth felt intimacy that only relates to and is accredited to God Himself.
  • To serve God with your spirit is to be spiritual to walk intimately with God. God will appear to you based upon your ability to perceive Him.
  • Fasting is a physical act that is spiritual and is designed to deny, mortify, and deaden your flesh as it humbles your spirit in His presence.
  • Fasting is one of the things we should do to change from the familiarity of your natural self and natural life to become familiar with your spirit being.
  • Meditation is an engagement with God. It is a form of prayer that prays with the mouth and meditate with your heart.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

  • Biblical meditation is reflective thinking on God’s truth by allowing the Spirit of God to speak to us through His Word and the thoughts that will arise during our contemplation (examining ourselves; observing; pondering; reflecting).
  • Biblical meditation calls for an attitude of receptivity toward God and His Word.
  • It’s not about emptying your mind to achieve a calmness; rather, it is about engaging with the Word of God in such a way that will allow God to speak to you as you meditate and open yourselves to the transformational work of the Holy Spirit in you.
  • Demonic meditation is to empty your mind with something else through the use of amusement, entertainment, and other sources of fun orchestrated by the flesh, the world, and the devil.
  • Godly meditation you don’t ever empty your mind with the Word, but you allow the Word to keep you focused on the things of God. Isaiah 26:3-4 3 says thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
  • Every engagement with the Spirit of God and your spirit is intentional. He will meet you with Jesus.

Amen
