• The doctrine of Satan is running rampant in the earth so that he has equipped his demons with a doctrine of the history of God’s Will that is designed to cause the heart of every born-again believer in Christ to question God and His righteousness, even to the point of doubting and forsaking all what Christ Jesus has done and will do.
• Satan means adversary. Adversary means an opponent, enemy, or foe; a group of people who are in opposition or competition with another, especially with God and His people.
• St Matthew 10:36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
• He is the adversary of your soul. He has heaped up his strategy, tactics, deceit, cunning trickery, illusions, and delusions in the earth against the born-again new creatures in Christ and through those that he will use to deceive.
• 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
• The tempter is testing you to try you for spiritual weakness, your weaknesses in faith in the Word of God and to obey it.
• He shows up as the tempter when you/we began to boast in Christ as Lord and Savior over your life; about His goodness; His righteousness; and when you give all the glory and honor and worship to the Lord God he will show up.
• We must have the alarm set in our heart to be able to sound the alarm at any point in our day-to-day circumstances and issues of life to call on our Father God.
• Our alarm is the name of Jesus! And in that name, we must be able to cast all our care upon Him; for He careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7).
• We are living in times of peril where the name of Jesus must be written in your heart, mind, soul, spirit, and body, and He is your strength that will see you through your day-to-day circumstances, situations, and issues.
• We must be the portrait image of His Christ likeness still walking the earth today through earthen (fleshly) vessels.
• Make sure and be very sure that your heart is ready to be able to withstand the wiles of your enemy.
The compass of the heart
St John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.
St John 7:37-39 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified).
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
• This is a spiritual responsibility of every born-again new creature in Christ to do.
• Every imagination of your thoughts and actions flows from your heart.
• The devil influences the imagination of your thoughts and actions through your flesh, its lust, habits, behavior, and practices it is used to in and through the knowledge of good and evil.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Define compass. Compass naturally is an instrument containing a magnetized pointer which shows the direction of magnetic north and bearings from it; the range or scope of something.
• In school it is an instrument for drawing circles and arcs and measuring distances between points, consisting of two arms linked by a movable joint, one arm ending in a point and the other usually carrying a pencil or pen.
• Compass means to go around (something) in a circular course; contrive to accomplish (something).
• Just as a physical compass is so will our new heart point us in the right directions of the Word of God that is hidden in our hearts to serve as our spiritual compass to guide and lead us in and through our wilderness journey experiences that the Spirit of God will take us through.
• The spiritually renewed heart that God speaks of in Ezekiel 36:26-27 is your spiritual compass to guide, direct, and to instruct you as a new creature in Christ into the faithfulness of God to lead His people into their promised destiny in Him.
• As a new creature in Christ the knowledge of our old nature has passed away. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
• Psalm 119:133-134 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.
• The new heart replaced by God in you will encourage you to follow His Will and His Way in the earth according to His righteousness and holiness of His Kingdom.
• When we say according to the Kingdom of God we refer to the Will of God, His desires, His pleasures, His thoughts, His mind, His emotions, as well as His Spirit nature and moral character.
• The new heart replaces your old hearts nature. It comes equipped with all of this and more and gives you the ability, that is the power to do His laws, statutes, and judgments.
• There is no work on your behalf needed except to surrender your whole self to the Will of God.
• The new heart can be trusted and entrusted in the navigation process for your new life as a new creature on (in) the earth.
• Entrust here means to make a deposit or place goods in trust with another.
• As a new creature in Christ, you learn to entrust the Spirit of God and His Word to your whole self.
• This new heart will lighten our new way by providing the necessary guidance and instructions needed as we face our day-to-day uncertainty.
• The compass of the new heart represents the pursuit of divine directions in our lives as being God’s stewards, entrusted by Him with His purpose and plan being birth in us.
• Proverbs 3:5-8 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
• When we yield to the Will of God from the new heart your understanding is no longer there. Why? Because I am a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away.
• Yielding your whole self to the Will of God will unlearn you from your Will and way if you permit and submit to the Spirit of God to do so.
• The issues of life are in the heart, and they flow from the heart through your mouth.
• St Matthew 15:18-20 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
• Our heart that we were born in naturally is of our old nature and is evil and is sins origin.
• James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. This is spiritual death! Now, it could possibly bring both natural and spiritual death depending on the Will of God.
• The compass of the heart represents the assurance of having a safe, secured spiritual journey as you permit the Spirit of God to guide, instruct, direct, and make all the decision of choices for you to live and engage in this world as a new creature in Christ through a heavenly perspective.
In closing,
• As born-again new creatures in Christ we are called to live a godly and righteous life and lifestyle that is led by the Spirit of God with Him making ALL decisions for the new creature that will align with the Kingdom of God’s precepts and principles.
• Galatians 5:16-17 tells us or commands us to walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of your flesh. It goes on in verse 17 to tell us that our flesh lusts against the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God lust against the flesh: and these two are contrary the one to the other so that you cannot do the things that you would.
• Your flesh will lust against the Will of God purposed and perfected in you so that you won’t be able to accomplish or fulfill His Will in you in the earth. Its lust tries to mortify the Will and purpose of God destined for you in the earth to keep you blinded to earthly natural things.
• The Spirit will lust against the flesh to mortify it, that is to subdue it and kill it’s bodily desires to crucify it for the Will of God to be total control.
• Mortify means to subdue or kill the flesh bodily desires or a practice of abstinence or self-inflicted pain or discomfort.
• Our spiritual compass of the heart guided by the Holy Spirit will help navigate the choices we make to keep us in and on the right path of righteousness.
• When navigating with a compass for directions establishing true north is essential for accuracy in directions.
• Spiritually as born-again believers in Christ our ultimate reference point is Jesus Christ. He is the true north of our faith that will guide us in all aspects of our new life in Him.
• St John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
• The spiritual compass of your new heart should point to the true north which is Jesus Christ.
• The spiritual heart of the soulish man in you is the seat of life awakened in his mind, spirit, emotions, with his Will conformed to the Will of God.
• The more your heart reflects on the world, its nature, and its carnality without being regenerated (renewed) the more self-centered and fuller pride you are. This heart is a heart that is a hostile enemy to God and His righteousness.
• The new heart reflects God’s love, compassion, empathy, repentance, and forgiveness. And when you go out into the world, guided by the Spirit of God to bring people to Christ the Holy Spirit is the compass of the new heart.
• In your new life called Salvation Jesus is the compass of our hearts journey and by following Him and His Will, we will align with God’s perfect Will as it sync’s us with His Kingdom and Kingdom lifestyle.
• We become citizens of the Kingdom of God being totally nurtured, nourished, with every provision provided.
• When we really learn the biblical meaning of the compass of the heart it will keep us focused and remind us to seek the Lord God in all our ways; keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as our true north.
Amen
