Introduction

• When we think and believe that we can do what we still desire as a born-again believer or when we think that what we do behind closed doors no one sees us or knows what is in our heart to do. Think again!
• But God knows! He knows the heart of every one of us so He tells us in Jeremiah 17:9-10 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
• Okay, now if you had any doubt that He does not see your heart a far off even before the thought is formed for your intent. Think again!
• Then He says in verse 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
• Everything about us as born-again new creatures in Christ or as a sinner by birth and by deeds of choice God is the searcher of every heart of mankind. God desires truth in our inward parts. The part you think no one sees!
• We walk by, we are tested and tried by, we work by, and are judged by what is in our hearts.
• Many believers are trapped and entrapped between their two natures.
• 1 King 18:21 Elijah approached the people and said, “How long will you be halt between two opinions?” If the Lord be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.
• The heart of our old nature was morally corrupt, inherited from Adam: Adam-male and Adam-female as God called them in Genesis 5:2.
• So, every human being born in this world is born with a morally corrupt (depraved) sinful nature with every seed in our heart possess the sinful nature of the fallen Lucifers’ serpentine nature that became joined to the human Will of Man in the Garden of Eden. And we are all trapped there until the Light of Jesus shines upon us to draw us into Him.
• The only righteousness in the old heart and its nature is an imitative form of godliness, a form of self-righteousness which is pride and self-used to cover its darkened, depraved nature.
• Every human being born within their heart is the desire to choose sin because man has a sinful nature. NO ONE IS EXEMPT!
• As a born-again new creature in Christ, we get a new heart that is perfect and created in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
• The new heart is for your spirit Man to grow and increase in the knowledge of God and His righteousness, whereas your old heart and its nature which is of the carnal man must die through the process of being nailed to your cross for the crucifixion and death of the (your) flesh. THIS IS INDIVIDUAL, NOT A FAMILY AFFAIR!
• The new nature in Christ is no longer spiritually entrapped by the Will of your old Man’s lust, pride, and cares of this world.
• Spiritual liberty is a mark of your new life in Christ under the New Dispensation that will reflect the Will of God in Spirit and in Truth.
• Isaiah 42:6-9

6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

8 I am the Lord that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another neither My praise to graven images.

9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. GOD DON’T DO SURPRISES!

• Spiritual liberty gives us spiritual awareness, a spiritual vision, new things, and will move you out of your spiritual darkness and its habits, practices, and behaviors. For Christ Jesus has now become your spiritual light.
• St Matthew 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
• When we allow the Spirit of God to properly seat Himself to abide in us, we are no longer spiritually entrapped because Jesus is come and He has freed us through His proclaimed mission in Isaiah 61:1-2 and St Luke 4:18-19.
• 4.18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 4.19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
• Jesus in our lives brings truth. The world can never bring truth or live truth.
• St John 8:32 says that we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free.
• The word Make is spiritual. It means to alter something so that it forms or constitutes something else.
• So, the Word of God does not set us free it makes us free.
• NO TRUTH, NO FREEDOM!
• Romans 8:2 says the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the Law of sin and death.
• Jesus Christ has destroyed the yokes of bondage that once had you and I entangled and entrapped.
• Romans 8:21 says even the creation will be delivered from its bondage of decay and corruption and gain an entrance into the glorious freedom of God’s children.
• Now, if nature (the creation) will be delivered from its bondage of decay and corruption from the sin of man what do you think would happen when the TRUE born-again new creatures in Christ take a stand in the earth to allow the Spirit of God to come and clean up the place to meet His specs?
• When the spiritual bondage of sin is destroyed the Presence of the Spirit of God will come, secure your vessel as His Temple, and dwell in the earth in His sovereign authority. This is the original plan of God for God and man.
• 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (Galatians 2:4).
• Trapped from within yourself and the only way out is in and through Jesus. Jesus is your spiritual liberty!
• Romans 8:15-16 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
• Entrap means to entice a person to commit a crime so the person can be charged with that crime.
• Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He tries to entrap Man then accuse him before God to find him guilty of sin through his entrapment.
• Satan knows that if God finds you guilty you must be put to death for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
• Trap means to snare a person or animal.
• Satan tries to trap Man with and through the exact same temptations he tried to influence and manipulate Jesus with, only Jesus didn’t drink his Kool-Aid.
• St Matthew 4:3-9 Read
• Satan tried to entrap Jesus with his twisted version of the Word of God.
• He uses these same tactics on Man to trick or deceive him to make him believe or do something wrong through the Word of God. THIS IS WHY THE WORD MUST BE HIDDEN IN YOUR HEART SO THAT YOU WON’T SIN AGAINST GOD.
• “EN” is a prefix which means “in or within”.
• Satan tries to spiritually entrap Man to entice him then trap him in his heart through the lust of world, the lust of his flesh, and the lust of his eyes, and in the pride of his life.
• 1 John 2:15-16 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
• The lust and pride are a type of snare to entangle you in the world to spiritually entrap you by using materialistic stuff and in the choices of ungodly men and women.
• A snare is a figurative expression of destruction through deception.
• The entire human race was entangled in a snare called sin and rebellion against God through Eve being deceived by the serpent then she deceived Adam.
• The snare does not destroy you, but it leads to destruction.
• James 1:14-15 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
• This is spiritual and, in some cases, spiritual and physical.
• Pride goes before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall, Proverbs 16:18.
• Man will destroy himself through pride.
• “Destruction of a proud mind (heart) is by the same proud mind”. If you build yourself up, elevate yourself, and then think more highly of yourself then you ought to, God will allow your thoughts about yourself to destroy you.
• You don’t have to worry about a person that is showing off because they are falling off with their showing off.
• People that brag about what they have, what they will do, and how great they are “their own fire will consume them”.
• Ezekiel 28:18 Thou has defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick (by the unrighteousness of your trade; deal or trade in something illegal); therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
• This is why we must submit ourselves to God!
• James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

In closing,

• As born-again new creatures in Christ we are no longer enslaved to the world, the flesh, and the devils’ methods of manipulation, intimidation, and domination.
• Sin is captivity for your soul and its existence in God.
• The devil’s determination is to carry all to hell with him to his cell block called Hell.
• Everything that he gives to you is only a way to lure you in to him and his tactics to entrap you in a snare so that God will have to charge your soul with sin.
• When we live a life of spiritual entrapment due to our sin it is like wearing a strait jacket and we become like puppets on a string to sin.
• A strait jacket is used in the natural way to bind your body, especially the arms to restrict you as a prisoner or a patient.
• Your ears must be awakened to hear what the Spirit has to say to permit the process of having a regenerative heart.
• To those of you that have been freed don’t try to use your freedom to become a stumbling block to others that are weak (1 Corinthians 8:9).
• Don’t use your liberty in Christ for an occasion of your flesh to sin again, (Galatians 5:13).
• Let the Spirit of the Word of God destroy the bondage of your sin that has you trapped within yourself.
• Jesus is your spiritual liberty.
• He is our only release from the spiritual death that we all were born in by birth and by deeds of choice.
