Spiritual Enlightenment

Ephesians 1:17-19

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of Him:

• What is the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation? The working of the Spirit to help the people of God to know and understand the things of the Spirit of God.
• Insight into the spiritual mysteries that are deep and intimate about the knowledge of the Spirit of God.

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

• The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation spiritually enables the new creature in you to access the inheritance and riches of the Kingdom; and to know God’s heart and His thoughts toward you individually, personally, and as the Church. His spiritual agency on the earth.

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power,

• The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation shows the way to the glory of God so that we can know and understand what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power is in and for us who believe as He demonstrates His workings of His mighty strength and abilities through the transforming power of you and I in becoming new creatures in Him.
• The eye of your heart is how you see your spirituality and the spirituality of others.
• The eye of your heart refers to the total inner person which is your soul. His mind, Will, and emotions.
• Having the eyes of your heart opened means to gain the Wisdom and Revelation about our inheritance in Christ and understanding the hope and assurance of our Salvation.
• Eziekiel 36:26-27 speaks of a new heart and a new spirit given to us by the Lord God. A new heart of flesh to replace the heart of stone that we were all born with and in it hated God and the things of God.
• A new heart and a new spirit that will cause us to be spiritually enlightened, awakened, illuminated by the strength and power of God to convert and transform the new creature in us and cause us to walk in His statutes, take heed to His ordinances and do them.
• Spiritual enlightenment is a state of deep awareness and understanding of one’s authentic nature before the fall of man.
• It is described as a spiritual awakening of your soul’s existence to the calling of the Spirit of God through the Word of God. This is a higher reality beyond the physical realm of the 5-senses, the flesh, its sinful nature, and the world in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Your spiritual awakening unlocks your true life, mysteries that have nothing to do with the terms of your abilities, your learned state in the knowledge of good and evil, and it comes with a cost.
• Your conscience refers to your inner sense of right and wrong, your moral compass in life, while conscious means being aware of or awakening to your surroundings. This world covers the external and not the internal self.
• Being conscious means you are alert and aware of your environment and its surroundings.
• Your conscience tells you if something is morally right or wrong. Conscience judges the right or wrong of your actions, not anyone else but your own.
• Though these two words are pronounced the same, but they have different meanings.
• Spiritual enlightenment signifies to give light, to shine
• Not everyone will experience their spiritual enlightenment the same as others.
• Many believe that their spiritual enlightenment can come through and from practices that forms a habit to it or for doing it, but this spiritual enlightenment is the knowledge of Jesus the Christ being born, birth, and resurrected in your soul. This is not a practice that anyone can pick up and do or traditionalize in such a manner until you get it.
• This process is spiritual. It is spiritually reproduced by the Spirit of God and His seed being conceived and birthed in your soul.
• 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
• 2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore (for this reason or because of this) if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. This is the conclusion!
• Is it safe to say that God draws those to Himself through Jesus when His seed is conceived? Or those that have conceived His seed before the beginning of their time?
• Remember no man can come to Jesus except the Father spiritually attracts and draws him and gives him a desire to come to Jesus, (St John 6:44).
• The spiritual seed of God is incorporated within this attraction, drawing, and desire.
• Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, the true Light which will light every spirit Man that enters this world. (St John 1:9).
• Ephesians 5:8-9 Read
• As new creatures in Christ, born of the Spirit of God’s seed we must prove to the world, the flesh, your flesh, and the devil what is acceptable to the Lord by walking as children of His light and no longer in darkness or affiliated with darkness.

In closing,

• Open the eyes of my heart Lord is prayer and should be your prayer.
• When we deepen our relationship with God by following His Will, accepting it, and doing it and in doing so whole-heartedly we become fully aware of who we are spiritually, inwardly, and with a lesser knowledge of the outward man, his desires, habits, lust, practices, and behaviors.
• St John 14:15 Jesus said, if you love Me, keep My commandments.
• Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian believers to be filled with spiritual insight to know Jesus in order to better understand the fullness of God’s blessings in Christ.
• Jesus has already prayed and is still making intercession for us to possess true spiritual enlightenment through the spiritual eyes of our new heart that can only come from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
• The knowledge you possess in the natural man cannot comprehend the things of God in His spirituality.
• In the knowledge of good and evil you only possess the spirit of the world, not God’s Spirit and there is nothing in between, half in half out or any gray areas to enter in.
