The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Truth or The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Which tree are you producing fruit from as a born-again believer in Christ?

• The phrase “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” is an idiom that means children inherit the same traits and characteristics as their parents.
• An idiom is a phrase or expression that has a figurative meaning different from the literal meaning of the individual words.
• An idiom is not the same as a proverb.
• A proverb is a short, commonly known saying that imparts wisdom’s advice to a moral lesson.
• A moral lesson is a principle or belief that we live by and use to judge right and wrong behaviors, attitudes, and activities.
• For example, the moral of your choices as a new creature should teach you a lesson learned from your test or temptations that are used to change you from your Will and way.
• In this phrase the apple symbolizes the child, and the tree refers to the parents.
• The phrase usually refers to the physical and/or personality similarities between a parent and child.
• So, we are saying here today that the Tree of the knowledge of good and truth represents the Spirit of God and His righteous order and the spirit of Man’s obedience to Gods command. When we say Man we mean male and female gender.
• The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the world, the flesh, and the devil.
• And the traits that we tend to display and portray will be those of the tree we grew on and fallen from.
• Although the spirit Man was created in the image of God after their likeness (Genesis 1:26-27) until sin changed Adam’s (to include Eve) image causing all mankind to be born after his likeness, (Genesis 5:2-3).
Genesis 2
2.8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed.
2.9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
• Midst means “in the middle of”.
• I believe from the way this is written both of the trees set next to each other.
2.16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
• God didn’t ask He commanded!
2.17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
• This is a spiritual death.
• All mankind has suffered a spiritual disconnect from the Spirit of God and His Order.
• Genesis 6:3 And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
• Flesh is the sinful part of all mankind.
• A spiritual death that separated all mankind from the Spirit, the Presence of God, and the things of God.
• What tree did you fall from based upon your character, personality traits, behavior, mannerism right now as a born-again new creature? Evaluate yourself through the Word.
• Now that you’ve been born-again your spiritual character, spiritual growth, and total spirituality will tell what actual tree you fell from before sin and what fruit you should bear.
• Once fruit has fallen from its original tree it cannot get up and place itself in a tree it did not fall from in the beginning. It will have to live out its life from the tree it grew from except the Spirit of the Lord God draws that fruit to Himself for His good pleasure.
• If it does, let the wheat and the tare grow together. The Lord will separate the wheat from tares, that is the original wheat and the weed that is pretending to grow and look like the wheat.
• Jesus said, “by their fruit you shall know them”.
• St Matthew 7:16-20 is the spiritual fruit test so that you can discern the spiritual fruit and the evil fruit of anyone that says they are born-again but live a false life and lifestyle that says they are representing Christ Jesus from an outward appearance and not from within their spirit.
7.16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
7.17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
7.18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
7.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
7.20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
• We tend to get so caught up on who has or who is the authentic fruit until we lose the ability to properly discern spiritually. So, we have imagined and created a traditional image, a traditional look, a traditional praise, and a traditional walk and talk to deceive many by portraying an outward image.
• A spiritual fruit test should be spiritually discerned by every born-again new creature in Christ.
• For example, a worldly-minded leader that looks like the world, acts like the world, dresses like the world, and still has the attitude, mannerism, and behavior of worldliness from their old nature is a carnal believer that is leading and guiding God’s flock over a cliff.
• The unclean spirit that Jesus cast out begged Jesus to let them go and inhabit the swine’s and Jesus said, GO. And when they came out, they went into the herd of swine and the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished in the waters, St Matthew 8:28-32.
• Is his or her fruit spiritually authentic?
• Many leaders and believers are not spiritual and don’t know their spirituality known to them through Jesus Christ.
• What tree are you producing your fruit from?
• You cannot eat from both trees and do the Will of God nor can you produce from them both.
• St Matthew 6:24 says No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
• Trying to serve both righteousness and sin makes you half-hearted, double-minded, worldly, and divided in your services to be rendered to God and man.
• Choose today who you’re going to serve.
• Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
• By their fruit you shall know them. You will either look like Christ Jesus or Satan.
• St Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
• Does your family, friends, and foes see Jesus of the Holy Scriptures, or do they see a god that they have imagined through their wicked imagination?
• Salvation is not an outward appearance, but it is an outward confession of expression and declaration to the ONLY One that saves. It is a spiritual inward life and lifestyle being displayed and portrayed on the earth.
• Adam ate from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil after Eve (the woman) was beguiled by the serpent by deceiving her in the command of God. She saw that the tree was good for food, pleasant to her eye, with a desire to become wise like God so she took from that tree and ate. She also gave her husband, Adam, to eat that same fruit.
• This is why the Lord God put man out of the Garden, placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep Man from the way of the tree of life, Genesis 3:24.
• The way that many are portraying a surrendered life in Christ is of the world and the flesh.
• The way that many are teaching and preaching the Word of God is the same as the serpent beguiling Eve.
• Its heresy, a belief that causes many to be deceived by twisting the Word of God for them to believe that the Word of God is subject to their way of compromise and not God’s order.
• They are not teaching that the spirituality of Man is the spiritual foundation for their born-again redemption in Salvation.
• And that spirituality is the ONLY way to return to the Spirit of God and His righteousness.
• Instead, they are teaching a doctrine that feels good, that feels God, and His presence through their 5-senses triggered by the influence of their flesh which is the subtle deception of the serpent himself.
