From carnality to spirituality

• Carnality is simply the state of being carnal (fleshly, worldly) which makes one exhibits the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21
• Salvation is designed by God to bring the Soul, that is you and I out of the bondage and captivity of our sin, its effects, its penalties, and rejection toward Him through His Son Jesus.
• Salvation is the spiritual processing of God for all mankind to bring Man back to his originality in Him through and in His Son Jesus Christ.

• Man is a spirit being. Created by God not evolved of himself, Genesis 2:7.
• His make-up is spiritual. Man is spirit, soul, and body.
• His fallen state has become his default in carnality.
• Man without his original make-up is without the image of God after their likeness with dominion.
• Genesis 6:3, 5 3 And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
• Man is carnal. He is born in sin and shaped in iniquity.
• “Shaped in iniquity” means immoral or grossly unfair behavior.
• Shaped in iniquity is our external body shaped in suits of dust (dirt suits) with flesh formed to it.
• Without the righteousness of God returned to Man, Man lives in carnality which is his fallen state from the Will of God to indulge in the carnality that is built in his flesh. The nature of the flesh is sinful, and it hates God.
• Carnality pertains to the desire for flesh, physical relationships, and worldly possessions.
• Carnality focus and desire is on physical desires, pleasures, and need that indulge in sensual pleasures and physical appetites such as food and sex. Along with other aspects of life such as money, power, vanity, education, possessions, fame, status, etc.
• Why not? Satan as Lucifer in his beginning was created perfect. He became so impressed with his own beauty, knowledge, intelligence, power, position, authority, his anointing, and his wisdom that he began to covet (desire) the Throne of God with all of God’s glory and honor, that which belonged only to God. Ezekiel 28:11-19.
• Lucifer self-exalted himself! He lifted up his heart and in his heart iniquity was found.
• 1 Peter 5:6 tells us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt us in due time. Don’t exalt yourself, that is pride in override!
• Carnality brought in spiritual death to the spirit Man. It began in the Garden of Eden when Eve was beguiled by the serpent.
• Carnality started in Man with the devil entering the serpent in the Garden, Genesis 3:1-7.
• Eve was charmed in a deceptive way by the serpent and saw that the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was pleasant to eat, delightful to look at, with a desire to become wise.
• Eve experienced 1 John 2:16 that was not yet written, but in line with the 5-senses lust and influence through the knowledge of good and evil. It says for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
• Carnality is spiritual bondage. Romans 7:23 says but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
• Sin is in the flesh, and it influences and acts out through the body.
• Who can deliver you and I from this body of death?
• Your body suffers from your flesh and its sinful nature surrounding it.
• A carnal Christian or a carnal person will have a carnal mind which make them live according to the lust and desires of their flesh.
• Carnal Christians or carnal people usually have uncontrollable sexual urges and appetites toward another and can’t wait to fulfill them when the opportunity presents itself. This carnal desire for sex before marriage leads them into fornication, adultery, lewd and lascivious acts.
• Carnal Christians or carnal people are of the world as well as in the world and ignore the Word of God to suit their carnal, worldly, and sensuous lust and desires.
• Romans 12:1-2 says I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.
• You must mortify your flesh to crucify it! You must learn to subdue your body and its needs and desires by learning self-denial and disciplining it through the Word of God.
• Not suppression or repression of your mind, but by renewing of your mind!
• Suppression is the restraint or repression of an idea, activity, or reaction to something more powerful. The Word of God is more powerful than the flesh! It can crucify its memories, impulses, urges, temptations, or desires.
• It takes the Holy Spirit in possession of and control of your soul in order to suppress the ideas, activities, or reactions of the Will of your flesh and its nature so it can mortify it to put it to death.
• Repression is the action or process of suppressing a thought of imagination or desire in oneself so that it remains unconscious.
• Killing to crucifying the Will of your flesh and its sinful nature will get rid of the repression in your minds: conscious, subconscious (the heart) and even the unconscious mind.
• You got to have the mind of Christ to want to and desire not to sin in word, deed, action, or thought.
• In order to have His mind, you must have your stony heart replaced by God to give you a heart of flesh. Philippians 2:5; Ezekiel 36:26-27
• This new mind and new heart, comes with a new spirit incorporated with the Word of God so you can cast down your imaginations and every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (in you). 2 Corinthians 10:5

SIGNS OF CARNALITY OPERATING IN A BORN-AGAIN BELIEVER
• No spiritual discernment concerning spiritual things as well as your own spirituality. Making everything a human feeling by utilizing the 5-senses influenced by the knowledge of good and evil in the flesh.
• No fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23. And flesh is not crucified!
• Love for the world and the things in it, i.e., its ways, behavior, mannerism, attitude, communication, etc.
• Still being plagued with carnal and sinful addictions in dreams, imagination, and thoughts, and won’t surrender your whole self because of shame, guilt, and fear.
• Lustful in desires.
• Intemperate, having or showing a lack of self-control through their Will. The Will implies self-control.
• Sexual perversion; being careless with the opposite sex.
• Haughtiness, i.e., arrogant, snobbish, self-important, proud, vain, self-exalted, etc.
• No godly contentment.

SPIRITUALITY
• Spirituality is the quality of being concerned with the human spirit and soul as opposed to material or physical things.
• Spirituality pertains to the desire of your Will to attain liberation from the flesh and its sinful nature. You have got to want to be spiritual!
• Being spiritual does not give you a spirit of bondage that will cause you to fear, but in Christ spirituality allows us to receive the Spirit of adoption, where we are able to call on our Father as a Son, as His child. Romans 8:15.
• If you still walk in a spirit of fear and operate in a spirit of fear, check your born-again status on your spiritual adoption papers. Check to see if the name of your father changed on your born-again birth certificate!
• Being spiritual teaches you how to walk in the Spirit, by the Spirit, and after the Spirit. You will always be after the likeness of the Son of God and His pattern being knitted in you.
• Salvation brought liberation through Jesus Christ. Who the Son set free is free indeed, St John 8:36. Are you free?
• Salvation is deliverance from the power and effects of sin; the realization of the Supremacy of God’s infinite mind overall, bringing with it the destruction of the illusion sin, sickness, and death.
• Illusion of sin is the thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.

SIGNS OF SPIRITUALITY OPERATING IN A TRUE BORN-AGAIN BELIEVER
• Saved. Born-again new creature in Christ, being transformed daily back into the image of God, after their likeness, possessing dominion.
• Really loves God through His Son Jesus.
• Imitates Christ by walking in faith, by faith.
• Obeys and walk in the pattern of Christ Jesus according to the Will of God by faith.
• Practices repentance and forgiveness daily.
• Loves others unselfishly.
• Affections set on things above and not on things on the earth, Colossians 3:2; heavenly minded with the mind of Christ.
• Produces fruit of the fruit of the Spirit.
• Live Godly with a lifestyle of godliness with godly intentions and not their own motives.
• Life is hidden in Christ because they are dead to the world and its rudiments.
• Crucifying self-daily; dying daily to the Will of God.
• Hunger and thirst for righteousness in their new nature.
• Having a knowledge of the Word with its readiness to revenge all disobedience as your obedience is being fulfilled daily, 2 Corinthians 10:6.

In Closing,
• Sin is an addiction to the spirituality of man.
• It is like medicine to a mental person.
• Medicine to a mental person is as demonic as drugs and other paraphernalia is to a drug addict and is still without God.
• All it is designed to do is to keep them unaware of their ability through their Will to choose righteousness over unrighteousness.
• Sin is inherited! Sin is a generational curse to all who choose to inherit it and won’t choose the changing power of the Will of God.
• Your flesh and its sinful nature are your enemy and your reason for rejecting God.
• Salvation and its righteousness are the only way out for the spirit Man and back to God the Father.
• This is God’s plan incorporated with the essence of God!
