St Matthew 15:18-19 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
• When we enter Salvation the journey of every believer’s heart begins. Why? Because this is where your issues of life are.
• The heart is the center of life!
• But the Word of God knows exactly where you are in the issues of your life that are hidden in secret in the heart.
• Our hearts determine our character (Proverbs 23:7), the source of evil that is there (St Luke 6:45), it controls our speech, the thoughts of our imagination, and is the source of our faith. We must learn to guard our hearts diligently while on our journey (Proverbs 4:23)
• God equips us as born-again believers, new creatures in Him with all we need for the call to decision in Him. And in this call to decision, we must spiritually grow!
• In this call to decision our Will is being prompted and provoked to have to choose God or the devil as we are learned and unlearned.
• Every new creature in Christ that is born-again must go from just believing to the converting process to transform your soul into a son of God.
• Your heart being replaced by God is vital to your success in God’s plan of Salvation.
• Your journey in Salvation is based upon what is in your heart. This really is the determining factor!
• The heart for your born-again experiences and encounters to your spiritual growth is from God and is replaced by God.
Ezekiel 11:19-20 KJV Amplified 19 And I will give them one heart [a new heart] and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony ][unnaturally hardened] heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh [sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God], 20 That they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
• The mind of this heart is Christ Jesus.
• The heart is controlled by God when you have surrendered your whole self to Him to take of the Will of God in and through your Will.
• The heart replaced by God will NEVER turn on God nor will it disagree with God.
• The heart of your old nature, old man will never be cleansed by the Word of God to do Will the Will of God.
• The old heart and its nature are of the devil. It operates and functions from the sin nature of the flesh influenced by the knowledge of good and evil.
• Why? Because we are/were born in sin. We only had one nature working for us which was corrupt, depraved, and inherited from Adam.
• We were/are sinners by birth and by our choice in word, deed, action, and thought.
Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (To be sharpened in iniquity is to be wrapped in or clothed in evil, sin).
Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. (Wicked here refers to the ungodly; estrange refers being alienated from God; no longer close or affectionate to Him).
Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
• In order to spiritually grow you must be willing to as John the Baptist said to Jesus the Christ in St John 3:30, He must increase, but I must decrease.
• When we hear the Word of God, we must humble ourselves to the Will of God and decrease ourselves from who and what we think we are/were so that the spiritual stature of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself can increase in you/us.
• This principle of increasing and decreasing relates to the old nature of sin of the knowledge of good and evil verses the transforming of the new nature in the knowledge of good and truth.
• This will require the cleansing, converting, and transforming process through the Word of God by faith in Christ. This is the journey of a believer’s heart! Being transformed!
• The Word of God comes to stripe you and crucify you the old man and its nature to raise you up to a new life as a new creature in Christ with a new nature and a new heart, which is the spirit Man in you.
Here are some scriptures for the two hearts or the two natures to study:
• OLD Heart is desperately wicked this is that heart we were born with: Jeremiah 17:9
• OLD Heart is of a defiled nature: St Mark 7:21-23
• OLD Man which is born corrupt in corruption: Ephesians 4:24
• FLESHLY Man is lustful and full of pride and operates in the works of the flesh: Galatians 5:17, 19-21.
• NEW Heart replaced by God does not sin: 1 John 3:7-9
• NEW Heart’s compliance to the Word of God has a pure nature, of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned (genuine, honest, authentic, real, true, earnest, heartfelt, whole heartedly). 1 Timothy 1:5
• NEW Man which is renewed in the spirit of his mind to put on the new man, which is after God and is created in righteousness and in true holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24).
• SPIRITUAL Man is fruitful and will produce fruits of righteousness. Galatians 5:21-22
• This is why Jesus had to come and we must accept Him as our Lord and Savior, so that the Lord can create in us a new heart, a new nature, and a new man within us as it was from the beginning before Adam and Eve’s fall.
• As your heart journey into your new life as a new creature in Christ God must replace the old heart to a new heart that is spiritual and created in His righteousness and His Holiness.
• Our old heart was/is completely depraved (made bad, corrupted morally) thanks to the deception of Adam and Eve in the Garden.
• Every seed from that point on from Adam was/is corrupt, born with a heart that is desperately wicked and the thoughts of its imagination are wicked and evil continuously (Genesis 6:5).
• It possesses the sinful nature of Lucifer’s serpentine form and that became the nature of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
• In your old hearts ungodly journey (that is before Christ) this heart is characterized by imitation.
• It will imitate, copy, model, and alter to resemble the original man and his righteousness of God that God created in him in the beginning. It has a form of godliness that denies the power of the True and Living God.
• This is self-righteous, with pride, and will use you to cover up its dark, depraved nature that is still very much active in you.
St John 3:20 For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
• Your repentance every time you think and do wrong won’t keep getting it for you.
• Your sin must be reproved! You must be reprimanded and rebuked for sin!
• The devil (Satan) will put on a disguise to deceive you and to make it look like he stands for good and not evil through our natures when it causes us to try and live “between the two natures”.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
• But God will separate the “wheat from the tares!” St Matthew 13:30
• The new heart and new nature of the new creature in you, which is spirit are perfect.
• The heart that God replaces comes perfect because it is created after the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
• Your old nature, old heart, and your flesh must be crucified and put to death through the process of you and I decreasing so that Christ in us can increase.
• This is accomplished as we confess and repent over the issues of sin that are growing and have grown in our old heart that is still trying to live with the new heart.
• If we confess our sins, faults, etc., God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
• The new heart will cause you to die daily (1 Corinthians 15:31) to the Will of Christ Jesus and no longer your Will to live.
• Salvation’s journey in Christ requires a heart transplant.
• Your future in Christ becomes your destiny in your present with a new heart.
• This new spiritual heart does not operate from the feelings of your flesh!
• The new heart will only agree with God and His Will.
• God’s heart and our new heart is immutable, unchangeable when God replaces your heart.
• The new heart in you replaced by God is His promise and His oath. It is impossible for God to lie or to deceive those that come to Him through His Son Jesus. Hebrews 6:18.
• This is your heart’s journey as a new creature in Christ and you must succeed in your journey.
Amen
