Rooted in Christ Jesus

Apostle Tracey Robinson, 2023 All Rights Reserved

• To begin being rooted in Christ Jesus begins with your confession of faith in Jesus; your belief in your heart; how you hear, how you accept what you heard and believe; and did you understand and comprehend what you confessed and heard in the Word of God.
• Along with repentance of all your sins, forgiving and forgetting, and being baptized.
• This is why the stage of your spiritual growth is contingent upon the Word of God having full range, all ranges in your development as a born-again, new creature in Christ; and only the Spirit of the Word of God can redesign you and prepare you for the Father and His purpose in you.
• Rooted means to be established deeply and firmly.
• There are no loose ends when you are rooted in Christ.
• Loose ends refer to your excuses, your weaknesses, your preconceived ideas in knowledge and understanding of God’s Will over your Will; no deliverance from your lust, habits, practices, behaviors, attitude, and desires from your old nature and its past that still governs over you; casting all your cares; being careful about nothing; etc.
St Mark 4:3-23 are the stage of your spiritual growth is described here. Let’s read from the Word!
• A Sower went out to sow. Listen, pay attention! (3).
• As he sowed, some fell by the wayside (the path) and the fowls (birds) of the air came and ate it up. (4)
• Other seeds of the same kind fell on the ground (stony), where it had not much soil, and immediately it grew up (sprang up), because it had no depth of soil (earth). So, when the Sun came up it scorched it, and because it had not taken root, it withered away. (5-6).
• Other seeds of the same kind fell among thorns (thorn plants), and the thorns grew up and pressed together and choked and suffocated it, and it yielded no fruit (grain). (7).
• And other seeds of the same kind fell into good (well-adapted) soil and did yield fruit that sprung up, increased, and brought forth fruit up to 30, 60, and 100 times as much as had been sown. (8).
• Jesus said to them “he that has ears to hear, let him hear”. (9)
• In Salvation you must pray for an ear to hear what the Spirit has to say to consider and comprehend what He is saying to you.
• An ear to hear is not an automatic process in spirituality! You must be spiritually conditioned to hear the Word and hear the voice of God in all your way.
• Therefore, you will not be able to hear the spirit of the Word of God in your natural and its 5-sense ability, which is carnal and an enemy to the Word, and live it.
• The Apostles ask Jesus about the parable of the Sower, (10).
• Jesus said to them that it has been given to them to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God, that is the secret counsels of God which are hidden from the ungodly; but for those that are outside of His circle (them that are without) everything becomes a parable. (11).
• A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.
• The Spirit of God already knows who will and who will not accept Him and His whole process of reconciling man back to Him through His Son Jesus.
• This is why when we pray, study, act and react to the Word (and members of its constituency), expound in the Word by teaching, ministering, preaching, or prophesying, etc., we should always know that the Word of God has already scoped you out in your motives and intentions of it.
• Like the Pharisees, they had a preconceived bias against Jesus’ teachings and would dismiss the parables as irrelevant nonsense. However, those who truly have a heart to seek the truth would understand parables.
• So, many today that have motives that are not God’s intentions through Jesus will indeed look and look into the Word of God but not see and perceive, and may hear and hear but not grasp and comprehend the Truth in their willful rejection of it, unless at anytime they will be converted and their sins will be forgiven them, then will they be able to hear and see and be entrusted with the mystery of the Kingdom of God also. (12).
• Jesus asked His disciples; did they not discern and understand the spirituality of the parable? (13).
• The Sower sows the Word of God. (14).
• The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown in their heart, but when they hear the Word Satan comes quickly, at once and by force takes away the message of the Word sown in them. (15).
• The Word says that Satan comes himself and by force to take it away from you. This force is the weakest link that says, “I’m with you”, or “I love you”, etc.
• How does he do this by force? By causing you to choose between the Spirit of God or the cares. lust, need, and desires for the world, your flesh, and how you obtained them over God.
• We cannot serve two masters! St Matthew 6:24 means you must choose between God and worldly things and possessions, i.e., fame, family (husband, wife, children), status, education, money, mammon (meaning wealth or greed).
• You will either hate the one and love the other; or you will hold on to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
• In the same manner the ones sown upon stony ground are those when they heard the Word of God, they immediately received it, accept it, and welcomed it with joy; and have no real root in them (in their heart), so they endure for a little while (this can be weeks, years, or months) by hanging around with a form of godliness; then when trouble or persecution comes on account of the Word they say they have, they are immediately get offended by becoming displeased when they have to stand on the Word, resentful, jealous, covet, and stumble and fall away. (16-17).
• And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word: then the cares, anxieties, distractions, and the desires of their heart still longing and panting for the things of the world, its delights, false glamour, and deceitful riches; having cravings and passionate desires for what you used to have and how it used to be before you got saved caused the desire for other things (these things) to creep in and choke and suffocate the Word out of your heart and they became fruitless. (18-19).
• The Word of God tells us as well as teaches us in our beginning “to cast ALL of your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you”, 2 Peter 5:7.
• The Lord God is now your new caretaker of all your anxieties, all your worries, all your anticipations, all your concerns once and for all.
• Those sown on the good soil are those who hear the Word, receive it, accept it, welcome it in their lives to become their lifestyle, and bear much fruit – some 30 times as much as was sown, some 60 times as much as was sown, and some 100 times as much as was sown. (20).
• St Luke 12:48 says for everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required…
• Don’t think or get comfortable in your fruit bearing 30, 60, or 100 because pruning time is always there to bear more.
• God prunes for His pleasures in you! So, you can produce more than you believe or think you can bear. Yes, God will not put more on you than you can bear, but your limitation is not God’s limitations.
• When you are a fruit bearer, don’t get caught up in the fact that no one else is doing it and you are. This is a trick of the enemy! Stay focused on what God has anointed and gifted you to do, not on another’s abilities.
• Psalm 37:1-2 1 says fret not thyself because of evil doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Rooted in Christ
• Salvation comes to root you in Christ according to the Will of God.
• To be rooted in Christ means to place your whole complete self and your complete trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, and to acknowledge Him in every aspect of your new life for all your need, wants, and desires, and His Will to be done.
• To be rooted in Christ means to establish (to set up on a firm and permanent basis) the faith of Jesus as you rely on Him so that He can take over your life totally.
• A total surrendered life is a life no longer your own but the life of God the Son in you.
• Christ Jesus and His way must become the center of your life.
• The center of life in the spirit man (you) is the (your) heart.
• Jesus must become your heart, mind, soul, spirit, and body by replacing you with Himself in you.
• There is no room or space for your views, highlights, or comments in the process of you as a new creature from your knowledge of good and evil.
• God does not need your suggestions, comments, or opinions in your transformation.
• God uses the knowledge of good and truth to transform you into being a new creature in Him.
• The Word of God does not have a point of view. The Word of God is forever settled and is not up for debate or opinions.
Colossians 2:6-11
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him:
7 Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power;
• This completion will take place on the earth, not after you have ceased living in earth. So that you will know where you will be spending your eternity: Heaven or Hell.
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.
• The Spirit of God in His Word through Jesus must perform a spiritual circumcision on each individual believer in mind, spirit, soul, and body.
• The Word must circumcise you (your whole self) to reveal the circumcision of Christ.
• If you are rooted in Christ, Christ takes over and steps into your now made ready and prepared physical body to govern on earth.
• Our tests, trials, tribulations, afflictions, lost and gains of the old nature must be mortified, that is deaden your flesh for its crucifixion, so Christ Jesus can step into your body as a new creature on earth prepared for His use. See it! It really is like a circumcision! Getting rid of that foreskin of your flesh, that old sinful nature so that the new Head can now be His focal point on earth.
• Our flesh is like a foreskin that sinfully covers the body to influence and keep your soul and its spirituality from being made free.
Jeremiah 17:5-8
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Rooted in the Holy Spirit
• The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ sent by the Father.
• You MUST be possessed and controlled by the Holy Spirit for the FULL results of God and His Will to be manifested on earth.
• And the senses of your heart have no influence, manipulation, or control over Him. Don’t be fooled by Satan to believe that He can be!
• Rooted in the Holy Spirit is to have the power and authority of the means and the method of His manifestations.
St John 14:23 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
• The Holy Spirit comes to live and dwell forever in you on earth. His seal is your promise fulfilled on earth.
• The Holy Spirit will testify and glorify Christ ONLY!
• The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is not subject to the spirit of man.
St John 15:26-27 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning.
• If you are being possessed, influenced, and controlled by the Holy Spirit you were with Him from the beginning.
16:13-15 13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are Mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.
• If the Holy Spirit is doing His TOTAL job in you, you’re going to know what God’s mind, heart, and soul is in all that He has assigned you to know, be, and do.
• The revelation of Jesus Christ in you will determine your spiritual sight!
• The Holy Spirit gives you Holy Boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Christ. Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.
• Power is the ability to do!
• Authority is the right to do!
• Having the power and authority of the Spirit of God to do His Will on earth will put the devil and his kingdom on notice for eviction in every aspect of the lives of God’s people.
• This is how you know how to pray, when to pray, when to intercede, who to pray and intercede for; when to touch and agree; when to bind and lose that which Heaven has already declared to be lawful and unlawful in the earth.
• We must be in place in Christ to have the ability to do.
• The Holy Spirit is responsible for revealing God’s heart, mind, soul, thoughts, teachings, instructions, and guidance to all born-again new creatures in Christ that are being transformed into a son and sealed with the Spirit of promise.
• Ephesians 1:13-14 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your Salvation in whom also, after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spriit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.
• The Saints are sealed, and it is the Holy Spirit that witnesses that we are.
• The Holy Spirit will also help and aid in our weaknesses and will intercede for you.
• The Holy Spirit will not allow the past of your old nature and its trickery to cause you to stumble or fall if He has control.
• Being rooted in the Word of God causes you to fall in love with Jesus which is essential to the rooting of Christ and His Spirit in you.
• Your focus is no longer you and what you want or need, but Jesus only.
• The Holy Spirit will develop and root you in the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:21-22).
• We are only as rooted in Christ as is the Word has taken root in our hearts.
• When you hear the Word of God and there is no conviction to change, then it has not taken root in your heart.
• Your degree of fruitfulness is determined and manifested by how you hear, perceive, and obey the Word.
• The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you and give you power over your flesh, which is the devil’s kingdom.

Amen
