• Our flesh wants one thing, and God’s Spirit requires something different.
• We are spirit beings encased in a human body, possessing a soul, having human experiences.
• In everything and all things that we do, did, and done in our life is and was for a “feel good” confirmation. This has become confidence in many that if it “feels good” it must be right, even with God and in our Salvation.
• When we get a good feeling that is our confirmation. We want to look good and possess what looks good to self. This is your flesh now in its array of being vain, prideful, and deceitful.
• As human beings we are nature wise selfish, prideful, and full of lust for everything.
• These things are tainted by our Will in its human nature.
1 John 2:15-16 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Then Romans 12:1-2 tells us you must be holy in Salvation. Holiness is not a tradition and religion!
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.
• Salvation requires confession, repenting, forgiving, baptism, deliverance, sanctification, righteousness, and holiness. This is not an old way thing! In every generation it becomes new, and it keeps on renewing.
• Salvation requires transformation from your old nature to your new nature for the new creature in you.
• The flesh is the outer covering of the body formed of the dust. Genesis 2:7.
• It is the carnal nature of the spirit man. Carnal relates to the physical, outward man, especially sexual needs, and activities.
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth not good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
• It was the spirit man that gave life to the body and soul before the sin of Adam and Eve.
• The spirit of the devil (Satan) was in the flesh of the serpent. Why? Because the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. He stood upright like a human and he talked!
Genesis 2:24-25 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
• Innocence here means lack of guile or corruption; purity; the state, quality, or fact of being innocent of a crime or offense.
• They had no guile found in their mouth; they were without fault in the Presence of the Lord.
Genesis 3:9-11 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And He said, Who told thee that thou was naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
Genesis 2:16-17 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
• Shame is a dangerous emotion. Shame informs us of our informal state of unworthiness, regret, dishonor, and disconnection.
• The spirit Man died a spiritual death with sin’s penalty and excuses.
• Part of sin’s shame is your excuses for the reason we/you sinned.
• Carnality started out with the devil, not Adam and Eve.
• God’s word(s) is a command to us, not a suggestion.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Galatians 5:16-18
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
• Flesh has no regard for God and the things of God. It acts impulsively, quick like a serpent striking.
Galatians 5:19-21 Explain these individually!
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
• The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is never willing to agree with your spirituality in Christ.
• Jesus said in St Matthew26:41 to watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
• Flesh represents all that is natural, carnal, worldly, and all that is human and influenced by your 5-senses: see, hear, smell, taste, and touch in the knowledge of good and evil.
• The Spirit signifies all that is supernatural, heavenly, and divine.
• Flesh is weak and hopeless.
• Flesh pursues sin and after sin, always wanting and willing to do things contrary to the Will of God, the Holy Spirit, and to condemn you afterwards.
Romans 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
• The Law was powerless to save in that the flesh was weak and for this reason God sent His own Son, Jesus in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for the sin of flesh He condemned sin in the flesh so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. (Romans 8:3-4).
• Man has come up with practical ways to try and kill sin in the flesh by ways of habitually practicing, rehearsing, denouncing, renouncing, suppressing, repressing, and memorizing scriptures that’s not rooted in their heart; talking about it repetitiously to their BFF’s; trying to meditate on what Jesus did and not said with no or little faith to believe on Him. Period.
• The act of all flesh is a message from Satan. Every time your flesh “flares up” from the acts of your old nature Satan is getting ready to use you.
• Being used in any of your flesh acts makes you a messenger of Satan.
• Setting your mind and affections on things below (in the earth) is being carnal minded.
Colossians 3:1-3 teaches us about being heavenly minded. 1 If ye be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God.
• Your flesh is sinful, and you must allow the Word of God to crucify it and its deeds.
• Flesh is the lower nature of the spirit Man.
• When you are operating in your flesh as a born-again believer and trying to call on the name of Jesus only the master that has your heart is going to answer. Please STOP calling it God when it is not God. Repent!
• Again, your flesh is opposed to spiritual things in every way. Check it out! When it is time to pray, study, be in fellowship, go to the House of Prayer, witness to another soul, etc., your flesh will be tired, exhausted, forgetful, or you don’t have to time to do the things of God that is required of all to build a relationship as you’re being reconciled back to Him.
• Your flesh only desires and find pleasure in what is contrary to the Spirit of God and His righteousness, so that you will not be able to do the Will of God in Spirit and in Truth.
• Your spiritual character is produced by the Holy Spirit, not by self-effort.
• The Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 altogether presents you as a moral portrait of Christ in the earth, not separate but altogether. Explain!
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
• Sanctification is not through the law whereas it was weak in the flesh, but strong through the Spirit.
• The outward working of your new life in Christ Jesus must be produced and manifest by the Holy Spirit inwardly.
• The works of the flesh has to have something to agree with from your heart.
• Jesus said out of the abundance of the heart your mouth will speak.
• Flesh triggers what is in your heart by the flesh, its influence, desires, and pleasures.
• Same with your soul, sin in the flesh triggers to influence your soul emotions, especially if your soul has never been awakened by the heard Word of God.
• You must pray and ask God for a spiritual ear to hear. The Spirit of God must awaken your ear to hear.
Isaiah 50:4-5
4 The Lord God hath given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
• Everything with God is spiritual! You cannot obtain to attain His righteousness without Him and without Him transforming you into the new creature of His purpose and plan.
• The Spirit of God must do all the work that is required for you to become who He has called you to be.
