“Staying Too Busy” to cease from your labor.
Staying too busy to rest from your earthly labor to enter into your spiritual rest.

St Luke 10:38-42
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, they entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus feet, and heard His word.
40 But Martha was cumbered [overly occupied and too busy] about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: (you are anxious and troubled about many things).
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not, be taken away from her.
• Mary has chosen to hear the Word(s) of the Lord which is the good portion and know that everything else is taken care of.
• When Jesus comes to your house what is your spiritual hospitality like toward Him?
• Many believers that are drawn into the plan and purpose of God are too busy doing too much of their Will for their natural man than to do the Will of God.
• Because spirituality is still an ongoing mystery to many, being an unusual place for many to access so they settle for the norm of what appears to be God’s Salvation plan that is working on behalf of their soul for God’s Will to be done through their flesh and its works. But it’s not!
• Tradition and religion only give one aspect of entering God’s rest that God has planned for His people, and it is physical.
• They are mimicking, watching, mocking, and imitating others to become traditionalized in a religious way that seems right to them but is not God’s Will nor is it His Way.
• Staying too busy does not represent or mean this is Kingdom work or the Will of the Kingdom of God in the earth.
• When we come into Salvation we must learn not to fear, be still (stand still) and see the Salvation of the Lord. (Exodus 14:13).
• Be still and know that the God of your Salvation has called you out of your darkness into His marvelous light. God will exalt Himself against the heathens (our enemies); He will be exalted in the earth because He is with us. (Psalm 46:10).
• So, why are we so busy?
• God’s intent for Moses to lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land (Caanan) represented a physical rest for the people.
• God sending His only Son Jesus to represent His Will and the Will of His Kingdom to all mankind to reconcile us all back to Him to rest in Him from all the chaos and disorders that our life of sin and rebellion has brought about to all that is born of a woman.
• Job 14:2 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
• Many born-again believers are too busy doing nothing but operate and function in a form of godliness that is deceitful, that denies the power, the real power of God by faith.
• Many walks in a shadow of faith but full of fear, unbelief, doubt, and rejection to the total Will of God.
• Many believers are choosing to do what they feel like will give God pleasure and cause Him to move in a way they believe is and will be pleasing to others.
• God’s rest is a state of mind, a place of peace, where God governs, manages all your Will through His Will, and has sovereign authority and rule over your whole being.
• He has dominion over your spirit, soul, heart, mind, and body.
• Every born-again new creature in Christ who will rest from their own way and work that was brought about by sin and rebellion must choose to live a life under the control of God’s Will to enter His rest. This is called Salvation!
• Entering God’s rest equates to living as a Kingdom citizen in the Kingdom of God in the earth.
• For example, Cain and Abel. Cain was a tiller of the ground. Abel was a keeper of the sheep.
• Your flesh wants you to believe that you must labor to obtain and maintain your Salvation that Jesus has already completed and paid for on all our behalf.
Genesis 4:3-9
3 And in the process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof (the fat portions). And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth (mad, exceedingly angry), and his countenance fell (he looked sad and depressed).
6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy countenance fallen?
7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. (the sin of your flesh and its desires to overtake you and you must learn to master it by crucifying it to put it to death).
8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. (Jealousy is as cruel as the grave).
9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?
• As siblings we find ourselves always in competition with each other for the love and offerings of our parents, teachers, mentors, friends, etc.
• This competitiveness even spills over into our adulthood and its independence when communicating with others as well as with the Spirit of God.
• For how we treat our brothers and sisters is how we treat God.
• 1 John 3:11-12 11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
• Sin will take over your nature to motivate you to do evil because the deeds of your heart, its activities, and works are wicked and malicious.
• This is why in Salvation God must replace your heart as a new creature in Him.

Hebrews 4:1-16 Read.
• Since confessing Christ many born-again believers have not entered the rest of the Lord by faith because they are still struggling with their Will versus God’s Will; they are still struggling with their identity of who they are, whose they are, and what is their purpose.
• Without the knowledge of God to know you then you imitate others instead of allowing the Will of God and His righteousness to reveal to you who you are in Him.
• You will follow what feels good to you and would suit your case. And in this it will lead you out of the Will of God and man for God’s purpose.
• The rest of the Lord is when you have taken all you know, do, and think surrendered it with your Will to the Lord God to allow Him to perfect, perform, demonstrate, and manifest His Word and His Will in your life in the earth as you portray a new creature born-again in Him.
• Entering the rest of the Lord is when you have taken you and surrendered your whole self to Him spiritually, emotionally, and physically, that is mind, spirit, soul, and body by taking your way(s) out of the process of your new life in Christ.
• In other words, your old nature is not incorporated with the new creature and his nature in you. They cannot be combined!
• As the old Saints would say “let go and let God!”
• Don’t be so busy thinking of ways to please God when only His way will suit Him.
• Stop trying to be the first to do good and look good so it will appear that God is blessing you and only you in an area that does not even please Him and is out of His Will.
• 1 Timothy 4:10 KJV Amplified With a view of this we toil and strive, [yes and] suffer reproach, because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him).
• In this House we will continue to command these things and to teach them as well as live them in Spirit and in Truth for a testimony of deliverance in Him in the earth.
