Spiritual Priorities
• Many believers’ priorities are out of alignment or out of sync with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness.
• When God called Adam in Genesis 3:9 and said to him “Where art thou?”
• Adam replied in Genesis 3:10 saying I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.
• The Hebrew word for Garden is Order.
• The Hebrew word for Eden is “spot; presence; open door; delight spot”.
• When God asked Adam where are you. God was not referring to his “physical location”, but He was referring to “disposition”, meaning Adam “was out of position with Heaven”.
• Sin had caused Adam to be out of disposition with God, His Kingdom, and His righteousness along with all mankind being born in his likeness after his image (Genesis 5:3).
• The moment Adam and Eve rebelled and failed to do what the Spirit of God had commanded through His Word for them to know, obey, and do God’s spiritual order, His presence, and His Holy Spirit left Adam.
• When we diddle and dabble in sin by compromising, being lukewarm, straddling the fence of Salvation through our words, deeds, actions, or thoughts we are out of disposition with the Holy Spirit.
• The Spirit of God and His righteousness is the priority for every born-again new creature in Christ to live according to the Will of God and His governing authority.
St Matthew 6:33-34 33 But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
• “All these things shall be added to you” are the things that you NEED and not the things that the heathens wish for, crave for, long for or lust for that are in the world and after the world.
• This is why it is so important for you as a new creature in Christ to know the difference between the blessings of the Lord and its richness verses the blessings of the devil that are designed to entrap you and to keep you in bondage with a deceitful lie that calls it a blessing from God, the Father.
• Every believer that declares Salvation is not “reborn-again”.
• Many go through the process of reciting or quoting the scriptures to declare their redemption in Christ, but then afterwards they go back to the old way of their old nature and never pursue the change to be transformed into a new creature in Christ.
• Never reborn of the Spirit and of the water.
• Salvation is not a preference for your choice of liking or for how you prefer to live a new life in Him as you choose to do when and how much or what you feel like is appropriate for God from you.
St Luke 9:57-62 KJV Amplified
57 And it occurred that as they were going along the road, a man said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.
58 And Jesus told him, Foxes have lurking holes and the birds of the air have roosts and nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.
59 And He said to another, Become My disciple, side with My party, and accompany Me! But he replied, Lord, permit me first to go and bury (await the death of) my father.
60 But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God. Listen at that spiritual priority!
61 Another also said, I will follow You, Lord, and become Your disciple and side with Your party; but let me first say good-bye to those at my home.
62 Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the Kingdom of God.
Define priority.
• Priority is something that is very important and must be dealt with before other things; something that you do or deal with first because it is more important or urgent than other things; the state or fact of being the most important.
• The priority of Salvation is to be focused without distractions and the competing priorities of the world, your flesh, and the devil to obtain the spiritual conversion for the new creature that has been awakened in you.
• The new creature in you is to look like the Spirit of Jesus, to function like the Spirit of Jesus, and to reach the full stature of the measure of Christ Jesus in you in the earth (Ephesians 4:13).
• The power and authority of God must be established in you and through you in Spirit and in Truth while living in the earth. Earth is the grounds for your spiritual preparation! Why? Because you are also flesh. (Genesis 6:3)
• Jesus was a soul winner, the greatest but He says greater works will you do because He is going back to be with the Father.
• St John 4:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.
• So, when Jesus departed the earth to return to His spiritual Kingdom, He left His completed work of redemption to all in the earth who will come to Him and continue His process in His faith until we depart earth as well.
• Jesus set the stage, the course for each of us on how to win souls for the Kingdom of God.
• Where are your priorities? What are your priorities since you’ve been born-again?
• As a born-again new creature in Christ there should never be a disconnect between the faith of Jesus in you and the Kingdom of God where your Salvation is your ongoing commitment and development of being a disciple becoming a son of God.
• Jesus never lowered the bar of His faith in God and in the plans of God for all mankind. We too must never do so also!
• Jesus’ heart was set on paying the cost for all our redemption for every generation and generations to come. And He did so!
• Since you’ve been born-again has, your heart been renewed to pay the full cost to keep your exodus from sin, death, its penalties, consequences, and the grave? And to labor with others as well to help them exit their sin and death?
• Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but is shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
• Jesus has a love with empathy for all souls. He has paved a spiritual highway for all souls, traveled in their spiritual journey, then He turns to walk with you and I through our wilderness journey experiences that will kill and destroy our flesh to procure (obtain something, especially with care and effort) our soul Salvation and its cost.
• Our wilderness journey is called a highway to the Holiness of God and His Kingdom. Counting the cost for each soul to be awakened to come to Jesus. He has spiritually journeyed our Salvation and its cost, making it possible for each of us to surrender all our Will to the Will of God and walk therein.
• The work in you to bring you to the spiritual perfection in Christ is already completed. Jesus came in the Law of the Spirit of Life in Him to free mankind from the law of sin and death.
• Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.
• The condemnation of sin in the flesh done by Jesus is for your flesh by faith being made ready and easy to subdue, overcome, and deprive your flesh and its power to keep you in sin by weakening your flesh (the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit), its lust, desires, behaviors, habits, and practices to nail it to your cross for its crucifixion.
• This is the work of Salvation designed to bring you into the spiritual perfection (maturity) in Christ. It is already completed!
• What are your spiritual priorities? Can God rely and depend on you to obey willingly His complete Word?
• Jesus committed Himself to the total Will of God and His righteousness.
• What are you committed to? Who are you committed to?
• Evaluate your spirituality and your walk in Christ.
• Evaluate your priorities to see if the Will of God is number ONE.
• If you are in fact a born-again new creature in Christ, spirit filled with the Holy Spirit of God, freed to do the Will of God your first and number ONE priority is and will be the Will of God and His righteousness.
• Get your spiritual priorities in sync with the Kingdom of God and His righteousness so that you won’t be found out of disposition as Adam was with God and His Will in you for this earth.
• And everything else that you need shall be added to you and take care of you for the Glory of God.
• Nothing works perfectly spiritually and naturally when the Spirit of God is not your priority, His Will, and His governing authority over your life.
• Without it you live a life of illusions (a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses) with your blessings being a delusion (a false belief, judgment, or perception) of Satan’s deceit and trickery to keep you blinded and earthly minded.
• All our other priorities should fall under and after God in its respective order.
• Your feelings will get in the way to hinder you from spiritually prioritizing the Will of God for you and over you.
• James 4:13-16 KJV Amplified speaks of the uncertainty of man’s life presumptuously planned that exclude God.
13 Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money.
14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air].
• Our lives are just like the wisp of vapor that steams from your hot cup of coffee or tea is what our life looks like and after it cools down it (we) become lukewarm, then cold.
15 You ought instead to say, If the Lord is willing, we shall live and we shall do this or that [thing].
16 But as it is, you boast [falsely] in your presumption and your self-conceit. All such boasting is wrong.
17 So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin.
• This is for all born-again future money loving, rich minded seekers, and planners who should only be living in the presence, but you are relying on a future with wealth.
• Once Christ has been set as your top priority in life and you can measure His priority by your breath when you inhale and exhale. Each breath you take you come to know that there is no return once that breath has come and gone.
• Jesus always gave His obedience as a priority to the Spirit of God. He gave His whole self to His Father and His Kingdom by depending on His Spirit, relying on His word, living the earthly life and lifestyle of sharing the Gospel as He cultivated healthy relationships with the souls of mankind.
• What is our spiritual priority? Is it the same as priorities of Jesus?
Amen
