Yielding to the Spirit of the Word of God
Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
• Salvation is redemption sent by God through Jesus the Christ for you and I to no longer depend upon self, the traditions and beliefs of the world, the flesh, and the devil. The views, comments, suggestions, or opinions designed by man through the systems of this world as it pertains to you, your life, lifestyle, and well-being.
• If you have been drawn and attracted by the Spirit of God (St John 6:44) to submit and commit to willingly obey and accept His Will through Jesus for the awakening of the new creature (your soul) in you then you have been redeemed and set free from the power, authority, cares, and concerns of sin and death that this world offers to now take on the Kingdom of God’s Will and Way for your being for the rest of your life in earth for the establishing of eternal life in eternal Heaven.
• So, to trust in the Lord God with all your heart will require a heart transplant by the Spirit of God.
• God promises a new heart to His people over in Ezekiel 11:19-20; 36:26-27.
• Through Jesus God has pardon us from all our sin and unrighteousness against Him and His Will by regenerating us and give us a heart renewal.
• This new heart is opposed to the heart that we all were born in, shaped in, and lived by through the systems set up by ungodly men and women.
• To lean not to your own, understand is to allow the Spirit of the Word of God to unlearn you from your Will and way to teach you as a new creature in Him the spiritual way that He now requires when you are born-again in Him.
• The Spirit of God in His Word will unlearn you as He rid you of the old nature you were physically born into with its Will to spiritually teach you to learn and live in the Will of God and His righteousness through the renewing of your character, heart, mind, and spirit to become the image and likeness of the Spirit of Jesus.
• This is all a spiritual process though the inward results will reflect on your outwardness as you are changed and conform to God’s transforming power and authority.
• Yield spiritually means to relinquish possession of (something); give (something) up; cease to argue about.
• Yield your whole self to the Spirit of God and His Will for you without your understanding, knowledge, feelings, and bias opinions incorporated with and to the Will of God.
• Yield so that we can learn Christ in God’s School of Salvation His Way!
Ephesians 3:20-24 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
• Your new life as a born-again new creature in Christ is spiritually renewed into being in the likeness of Christ.
• The Hebrew meaning for the word “likeness” means “to function like”.
• So, when Elder Wright introduced in the scripture in Genesis 5:3 that after the fall of Adam we no longer had the image and likeness of the Spirit of God which is true because after that we were all born in sin and shaped in iniquity from the loins of Adam which means that we did have the sin nature of Adam and we did function like Adam. Amen.
• But when Jesus came to us individually and we accepted the Will of God and all His prescribed methods of spiritual righteousness with His Way of processing through Jesus we that have done so got back our image of God after their likeness. Now, causing us to get back the nature, characteristics, and essence of the Spirit of God with His likeness to function as He function. God functions by a substance called faith.
• Here are some synonyms that the Spirit of God uses to perfect us in His Will when we totally yield to His Spirit.
• We say totally because many believers have not yielded their way to the total Will of God in Spirit and in Truth.
• In our spiritual processing God cause us too spiritually be fruitful and multiply in Him to preach, teach, and minister through the ministry of reconciliation to win souls for His Kingdom when we:
Produce: To create or provide something.
• Yielding to the Will of God to produce His Will further in you and others you encounter.
St Matthew 13:8 But other fell into good ground and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, and some thirtyfold.
• These are they with a spiritual receptivity and will produce and bear the fruit according to the measure of faith that has been dealt to them.
Bear: To carry or support.
• Jesus has already borne our sin, its penalties, consequences, and its sicknesses through His sufferings and sacrifices made and completed for all mankind.
• We then that are strong in the Lord should bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves, (Romans 15:1).
• I can bring you to the Cross of Jesus, but I cannot make you accept His finished work for your souls Salvation.
Give: To provide or surrender.
• Learn to give oneself, your whole self to the spiritual growth being provided to you from the Spirit of God.
• Make your spirituality a daily habit and a daily practice in surrendering your Will to the Will of God more so than trying to quote enough Word of God just to be blessed.
Supply: To furnish or provide.
• As we learn to trust in and depend on Him in total confidence He will do according to His Word and supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. (Philippians 4:13).
• As we come into the knowledge of Him and His Will as being our Heavenly Father we will learn to trust and depend on the fact that He knows all our needs before we ask. (St Matthew 6:8).
• He’s able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20.
• Check the source of the power that is working in you when it comes to blessings and being blessed. Is it God or the devil?
• In knowing this our needs are not like the world, the flesh, and the devil’s need.
Provide: To offer or give.
Surrender: To give in or submit to His total Will by trusting and depending in and on His Word. We must learn to trust God’s spiritual process for each of us individually and corporately.
Capitulate: To yield or give up our whole self for His Will to be done in the earth so as it is in Heaven.
• Many believers want something for nothing! They want the blessings of the Lord but don’t want the blessor.
• STOP resisting the perfect Will of God for you and do as the Spirit commands and teaches you to do.
• Surrender unconditionally! The same way God loved you He sent His Son now turn that same unconditional love for Jesus back onto the Father adopted as a follower and a learner becoming a son.
• Let’s agree with the Spirit of God that His Way is the ONLY right way to end all of what you thought you know and learned from the sinful nature of your old ways and just do things God’s Spiritual Way.
• Doing it this way will eliminate and exclude all of mankind views, suggestions, comments, and opinions.
In closing,
• The Spirit of the Word of God will not just come and take its abode in you without your willingness and acceptance.
• Slavery through racism was designed by man to take away the choice and acceptance of man that was given to man and woman in dominion by the Spirit of God.
• God gave man and woman dominion and even after Adam’s rebellion toward God He never took back man’s dominion but instead man and woman gave it up.
• Many use the excuses of skin color to justify their wrong and evil doings on the earth.
• God never forces man to do against his Will of dominion.
• God’s Holy Spirit no longer strived with the spirit Man because he is also flesh, and the wickedness was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:3, 5).
• Man became independent of God and his affections for God and the things of God became more about self.
• God never will force us to do anything because He gave us the gift of Will, but He will permit our circumstances and issues of our heart to cause us to have to choose to agree with Him or disagree with Him.
• This is why we must know when entering Salvation that we did not choose to be born-again God did by sending His only Son to redeem mankind.
• St John 15:16 Ye have bot chose Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.
• The spirit man in you, both male and female must accept all of God’s way in His designed plan of faith, repentance, and forgiveness. There is NO alternative plan with the Spirit of God.
• There are no family inheritance packets that include your counsel or suggestion, comments, or opinions of what God has set into motion for all mankind.
• Jesus the Christ is the plan of God for all souls to be reconciled back to the Father.
• Salvation is not a self-help program or self-paced course that you can attend or take according to your Will.
• Salvation is not a plan or course for your outward, natural man. It is only for the spirit man (that spirit being) that you are inwardly.
• When you/we totally yield to the Will of God and His righteousness your belief, views, comments, suggestions, opinions, and biases is destroyed by the Spirit of God and His Will because there is no need for it in the new creature being transformed in you.
• Your flesh profits nothing from what the Spirit of God does for the spirit in you.
• St John 6:63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life.
• Yielding to the Spirit of the Word of God brings and gives spiritual life to the spirit being that you are.
• When we were born in sin and death we were born after the likeness of Adam.
• Today many believers still function like Adam with fig leaves as their garment of covering their rebelling against God and His Will.
Amen
