Devoted to God

• One sign of a genuine believer is their devotion to Christ Jesus.
• Devoted means very loving or loyal.
• How do we love God? We love God in, by, and through His Word.
• Let the Spirit of the Word of God teach your awakened soul to convert him to transform him to cling to Jesus and steadfastly persevere with Him out of love and gratitude.
• Persevere with Him through your conversion of being transformed into the new spiritual creature that Salvation will design to recreate you anew in Him as you face the difficult process of change from your old to new.
• Perseverance is essential in your journey called Salvation by faith. Perseverance means to keep going; go on; don’t stop, don’t quit; persist; hold on and hold out.
• Jesus persevered by enduring betrayal, rejection, injustice, persecution, and ultimately the Cross. Yet He never gave up, disobeyed the Father, or lost faith in Him. He completed the work of redeeming all mankind (humanity) from sin and death.
• Now that is true devotion to one you love. Jesus’ portrait of true love for the Father displayed to humanity.
• St John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. What a sacrifice for humanity?
• Jesus’ perseverance made St John 3:16 very plain and clear to all in knowing and understanding.
• We must persevere in the faith of Jesus, not in our self-sufficient Will and strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit. Without the strength of the Holy Spirit, we will never succeed in the faith of Jesus to be devoted to God.
• 2 Timothy 2:11-13 11 says it is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
• Devote means to give all or a large part of one’s time or resources to (a person, activity, or cause) but we are saying giving your whole self and your all to God through Jesus.
• How do we do that? We must be willing, obedient, and faithful to know and do the Will of God purposed in us through Jesus.
• Being devoted to God is to be preserved and reserved for His special use in the earth.
• Being devoted to God requires a spirit of humility, a spirit to willingness to obey, with a heart to draw near to Him to experience and encounter His presence daily.
• The greatest part of our devotion to God is to tell others about His love through the ministry of reconciliation that we have received.
• Devotion is displayed in obedience to God, His Word, being a faithful witness for Christ, and serving one another with a servant’s heart.
• Worshipping God is devotion to God, but worship is ordained by God and not self-induced or orchestrated by self.
• Worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth is sought by the Father Himself.
• When the true worshippers worship the Father in spirit and in truth then the Father will seek such to worship Him because God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. (St John 4:23-24).
• Studying the Word of God is reading the thoughts of God. The Holy Scriptures is His mind on paper given by His inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16).
• Psalm 37:4-5 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.
• Delight means to please (someone) greatly; take great pleasure in Him.
• Commit means to pledge or bind to a certain course or policy. This is commitment to His Word that makes you committed to Him.
• Devotion to God is a way which involves Divine demands upon the conduct of believers. These are called the saints, the sanctified, or the holy ones. All believers are called to sanctify themselves.
• Jesus prayed in St John 17:17 sanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth.
• So, devotion to the Word of God is truth that will sanctify believers.
• Leviticus 20:7-8 7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God. 8 And ye shall keep My statutes, and do them: I am the Lord which sanctify you.
• How you keep the Word of God, its laws, statutes, commandments, and judgments will sanctify your.
• Only the Word heard, accepted, and willingly obeyed will sanctify you.
• 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
• Sanctify you for devotion to Himself.
• Sanctify you through and through from the profane things of your old nature to make you pure, perfect, and wholly (entirely; fully; completely; thoroughly) consecrated to Himself.
• Devotion to God is Salvation through Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
• Many say that they are fighting from a place of victory! This victory was put in place by God before I was a substance in my mother’s wound.
• Why? Because the calling of God was upon me/you before your beginning. So, the only fight that you/I must fight is the good fight of faith. Just believe in Christ Jesus!
• Fighting to keep the faith of your belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in His completed work assigned and approved by the Father.
