Know your position and ability in Christ
Define know.
• Know signifies to be taking in knowledge, to come to know, recognize, understand, or to understand completely.
• When we know something, we will become what we know.
• When we know we become aware of what we know.
• Know is to be aware of through spiritual discernment and observation by querying the Spirit of the Word and its information being given to you spiritually in your studies, your research, in your fellowship, in your praise and worship, and even in your meditation.
• Know is to be sure and certain.
• To know is to develop a relationship with the Spirit of God through His Son Jesus, through prayer and supplication, through fellowship with fellow believers to become familiar with the Christ in one another.
• To know the position, you hold and its ability in Christ is according to the measure of faith you have been dealt.
• Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
• We all do not have the same measure of faith so don’t try to exalt yourself into a position and an ability in Christ because your friend is there; or your husband or wife is there; or you “feel” like you can do what they do also.
• But do you have faith with its power measured out to you to do what they do?
• Don’t be so high-minded in what you believe, and that belief is wrong and keeps you weak. (High-minded means having strong moral principles).
• Self-righteousness is not a strong moral principle.
• Many believers “self-exalt” themselves and feel like they can do what you do in Christ.
• To know the position, you hold and its ability in Christ is to have your own personal experiences and encounters with Him through the knowledge of and acceptance of His Word. This does not come by observation or having an intellectual knowledge of the Word.
• In these experiences and encounters they are to humble you in every way of your Salvation for you to serve and not be served.
• To know the Spirit of God is far above and greater than knowing what you would know based upon your carnal, worldly, or temporal possessions value or importance to the one who knows.
• A relationship with the Spirit of God through His Son Jesus is established upon the knowledge you have of God and His knowledge through Jesus. Not in what you have learned from man teaching man from a weak and wicked imagination of his heart.
1 Corinthians 8:1-3
1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
2 And if any man think that he knoweth anything, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
• Man cannot teach you the Will of the Spirit of God and His purpose for you because in his humanism he can only teach the natural things of man, 1 Corinthians 2:14. Only the Spirit can teach your spirit comparing spiritual things to spiritual, 1 Corinthians 2:13.
• To be known in your spiritual identity in Christ is to perceive a specific characteristic.
St John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
• To know means to have a spiritual knowledge that is clear and certain perception of all truth.
• To know is to be aware subconsciously that is in your heart the truth about yourself, your circumstances, occurrences, and information being obtained spiritually to be able to permit the Spirit of the Lord to raise you up from your Will and way.
• To know means to spiritually identify the identity of Christ Jesus working in you.
• To know means to have a spiritual understanding of God and His Will.
• And this comes without the spirit of error, compromise, weakness, or procrastination.
• To know means to apprehend and experience the authentic you in Spirit and in Truth.
• To know means to increase your knowledge in the Spirit of God and His righteousness which will eliminate any uncertainties of your old nature and its Will.
Galatians 4:3-9 This is knowledge to know your position and ability in Christ
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world”
4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
• You say I wasn’t under the Law. Yes, you were or are because of your flesh being under the Law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2-3).
• All flesh rejects the Word of God!
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
• You MUST become a son to be heirs of God and a joint heirs with Christ when you suffer with Him like Him. (Romans 8:17).
• What is a son? One that has allowed the full stature of Jesus to be birth, born, and resurrected in them.
• Your soul has become all Jesus!
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are not gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
• This is turning back to the world, the flesh, and the devil’s Will and way.
1 John 2:
3 And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.
5 But whoso keepeth His word, in Him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.
6 He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.
1 John 4
4.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.
4.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
4.7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
4.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
• This is when you think that love is an action that produces materialistic, tangible, temporal stuff to your liking.
• Love is unconditional!
4.13 Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.
1 John 5
5.1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loveth Him that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of Him.
5.2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments.
5.20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
St John 10:37-38 37 If I do not the works of My Father, believe Me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not Me, believe the works that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.
• That we may know and understand Him in the present.
• Know the TRUE works of God through Jesus using you.
• This is the works of Christ Jesus taking His abode in the earth to do His Will, not just someone laying hands on others to watch them fall out or scrim on the floor, but to see and know the true works of Christ in our midst that will bring about a conversion, a transformational change in the hearts of the people that will surpass a feel good moment.
• In the natural when we can never know the Spirit of God, His righteousness, and His move through the flesh because the flesh rejects God and knowledge of Him.
• Especially when the unbelievers and believers don’t testify of their deliverance in Him.
• Leaders: Not knowing your position with the faith, it takes to function in stop following tradition and religion which only tries to manipulate and imitate the true Spirit of God and His Will to be done in the earth.
• Knowing your position in Christ does not come with a feeling! It is only through the Spirit of God.
• Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
• Knowledge without the Spirit of Wisdom from God is mere a head knowledge whereas with Wisdom knowledge becomes a heart knowledge to walk in and live by.
