God will test your faith
• As a born-again believer in Christ the Spirit of God will test your faith in Him through your wilderness journey better known as “being transformed” as a new creature in Christ.
• Your faith being tested in individual and personal. It really is not a “family affair”.
• Life in your wilderness is pertinent to your new life as a born-again believer. Meaning it is relevant or applicable to your faith as you journey in your new life and lifestyle in the Spirit as a spirit being walking in Christ; appropriate; suitable.
• All these things that God permits to happen become your deliverance, testimony, and examples that relates to the written Word for our admonition with its examples.
• Meaning for our reprimand, rebuke, authoritative counseling, and warnings as new creatures in Christ.
• God test our faith by His Word so that we will know our strength in Him, not so He will know.
• Let’s look at Job! God allowed Satan the lead way to tempt Job while He test Jobs perfection, his right standing with God, His godly fear, his steadfastness, his integrity, and his allegiance to God.
Job 2:1-6
• Although God permitted Satan to touch Job’s body and his flesh, but God kept His Hand upon Job during the whole process of Job’s temptations.
• In other words, God keeps His Word in promise to us. He said, “I’ll never leave you nor will I forsake you”. (Hebrews 13:5).
• When your faith is being tested this is spiritual growth in operation.
• Spiritual growth is the increasing of your faith in God through Jesus.
• This is why when we are going through our wilderness journey set up by the Spirit of God we should not murmur, complain, or wine about what we are going through because it is designed to perfect us in Christ.
• God knows where we are in our belief in Him. God knows the exact test that you need to perfect you in Him and in your ability to serve Him and others.
• When your faith is being tempted this is spiritual growth to know God through Jesus. It is your proof that you are coming into the knowledge of God.
• When your faith is being tried this is spiritual growth to know what is really in your heart.
James 1:2-4
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
• Faith is the source of wisdom.
• Spiritual Test are designed to bring you into a learned ability of knowing who God is and to know God is to know who you are.
• Spiritual tests are not just to aid you in spiritual gifts! To function in your spiritual gifts, you must know the Source of the Gifts.
• Spiritual test comes to break your human Will by spiritual processing which does not include the Will of your flesh, your knowledge of good and evil, or your 5-senses.
• Spiritual testing strengthens the spirit Man inwardly to overcome, overpower, and conqueror again his spiritual right.
• God will not trust us with freedom and access to His power and authority until He tests us that are confessing Salvation.
• God will test your appetites. And just as Jesus had to pass the appetite test, not just for food but also for fame, fortune, possession of stuff, greediness, money.
• Though Jesus was a Son He learned obedience through the things He suffered, Hebrews 5:8.
• Jesus had to go through His wilderness experience to deny His flesh and its cravings so do we to help produce our spirituality in Him.
• Satan said to Jesus in St Matthew 4:9 all these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me.
• This is why you must know that the blessings of the Lord will never violate His Word.
• God will test your appetite for power to control.
• People are hungry for power and control over people!
• Tradition and religion produce “artificial growth” not spiritual growth. It is manmade, man taught, and produced by human beings that are not in sync or alignment with the Spirit of God but occurs naturally in trying to imitate and copy the spirituality of Man in God.
• God will test you for pride.
• Pride is pleasure and satisfaction derived from one’s own achievements; consciousness of one’s own dignity.
• Pride is one of the seven things that God hates, Proverbs 6:16-19.
• Bowing down to others or another to get ahead or for glory and splendor for a moment of fame, the calling and chanting of your name on billboards, social media, etc.
• Is it worth it? What do you profit from to win the whole world and its riches then to lose your soul? Or what will you give in exchange for your soul? (St Mark 8:36-37). This is orchestrated by Satan!
• Spiritually Tempted is being consciously tempted by the outward man and his unrighteousness to keep the spirit man in you blind and deaf to the Will of God and the hearing of His Word through the distractions and decoys used in the world by the flesh.
• Temptation is intentional enticement used to bait you through pride, selfishness, self-gratification, worldly possessions, etc., to disobey the Spirit of God and His Word.
• When being spiritually tempted is to have a desire to engage in something that is morally wrong, unethical, and against the principles of God.
• Spiritually Tried is to be in a season of test and trials to test and try your faith, your submission, your humility, and resistance to your Will and the devil.
• 1 Peter 4:12-14 read.
• Being spiritually tried will bring you into a closer relationship with the Lord God and His Will. It will cause you to seek Him to draw close to Him.
• And most of all let Him talk to you more than you talk with Him.
• Our spiritual trials are for spiritual growth and spiritual maturity.
• When God test us, He will test our appetite, power and authority, and test us for pride.
• When the devil tempts you in these same areas of appetite, power and authority, and pride make sure that the Word of God is in your heart hidden to enable you to resist the devil.
• As a new creature in Christ, the Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:11-13.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
• Temptation is a routine part of every born-again believer’s spiritual growth in Christ or growth in your Will and your way. Whichever one you choose.
• This is why the desire to sin and stay in sin seems to be more powerful than that of the new life and its desires to live right in Christ.
• Temptations that are “common to man” is our shared experiences, that are typical, and suited to human experiences.
• Since it was the human part of Man that the devil beguiled and enticed causing the spirit of Man to be in rebellion against God and is what we are most adapted to is flesh, this is the part of us that will be tempted.
• God will test the spirit Man to see if he has hidden the Word of God in his new heart or if he has motives that are not God’s intentions. God will not test the natural man.
• God will test the spirit Man in you his reborn state that is used to human experiences to see if he will allow his flesh to trick him, entice him, and beguiled him again over the new creature that has been awakened and is reconciled back to God to see if he will repeat the process of Adam over again. Your faith in Christ must not allow you to repeat the process of the first Adam over again as a born-again new creature; born of the seed of God (1 John 3:9).
• When we are born of the seed of God as the Holy Scriptures states we are regenerated, we have spiritual victory, and the temptation that is common to you is resisted.
• God will use the temptation that comes to aid, assist, and support in the denying and the killing of your flesh, its lust, habits, desires, behaviors, and practices that was learned in your old nature under the knowledge of good and evil.
• God will use the temptations that are common to us to change our whole order so that we can represent Him and present ourselves to others in the spirituality of Christ Jesus.
• When we confess and declare the righteousness of God through Jesus God will allow us to be put in situations that seem unbearable and impossible to accomplish and go through, but with God all things are possible to him who believes in Him.
• God’s Word will always offer us and give us the reassurance that we need to overcome and become conquerors in every test, trial, tribulation, and temptation according to your faith in Him and His process.
• Satan’s job through your flesh is to cause you to see and believe that the temptations are irresistible, the tests are too hard, and that you are just human, and God knows your heart.
• Every spiritual test must be passed!
• The Spirit of God will take us into our wilderness before He brings us to freedom in Him. Once we pass our spiritual testing and temptations, He will give us access to freedom in Him because He can now trust us to do His Will only.
• A feeling is not and never will be a sign or symbol of your testing being fulfilled.
• 1 Peter 3:12-17 read
Amen
