• Spiritual blindness is where many believers are struggling to see the things of God according to His Will. Many struggles in spirituality without being able to spiritually discern the spiritual things of God in His righteousness.
• In these struggles of non-spirituality is the opportunities given to the devil – God’s enemy against God through you.
• Our struggles in spirituality stem from a lack of knowledge of who God is and His Will to be done individually and corporately as the spiritual Body of Christ in the earth.
• Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me: seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
• Hosea 14:9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Prudent, and he shall know them? For the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
• No one can fool God or get pass His Will without Him putting you in check according to His Will.
• Spiritual blindness prevents many believers from accepting the true things of God because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Word of God here does not lie! Look out at the harvest of the world that says God called me, but check out the state of their calling.

• They are weak, doubtful, fearful, sickly, downtrodden, compromising, being kind to evil instead of reproving it by spiritually judging it to correct it to prove what is acceptable to the Lord in His righteousness (Ephesians 5:10).
• Trying to manifest the power of God through the manipulation of others that may appear to be weak in their eyes.
• The Word says to abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22) that is to keep yourself back from it instead of ignoring it, rejecting it, and avoiding it we compromise with it and embrace it.

KJV Amplified says but the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

• The natural man is flesh! He operates only in his natural realm and is aware of his external environment.
• Spiritual blindness refers to the inability to perceive the truth of God, His Word, His Will, His Plan of Salvation, and to accept His only begotten Son Jesus given to us to restore and reconcile the spirit Man back to Him.
• Even in Salvation many tend to pick what they like about the Word of God and choose what is wrong through their 5-senses influence by and in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Spiritual blindness is the inability to see the things of the Spirit of God because your soul has not been awakened (quickened to come alive) by the Spirit of God and His Word.
• Spiritually blinded people (saved or unsaved) are spiritually dead. This is why it is a MUST that we be born-again of the Spirit and of the Water through the Blood of Jesus.
• St John 3:3, 5-6 says so.

2 Corinthians 4:2-5 KJV Amplified

2 We have renounced disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate or handle dishonestly the Word of God, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight and presence of God to every man’s conscience.

• Commend means we submit ourselves to the Spirit of God as being suitable for His approval and acceptance.

3 But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost.

4 For the god of this world has blinded the unbeliever’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God. This illuminating Light is the Light that also shines in you and that many will see.

• Many believers that say they are born-again are struggling to see the Light of the Gospel, as well as be a light of the Gospel in Spirit and in Truth also.
• Because they are spiritually dying and veiled, that is blinded/covered by their sin through the influences of their 5-senses being in control through the knowledge of good and evil in this world and its lust.
• These are those that are perishing from a lack of knowledge of God in their own uncertainty; these are they that are lost.
• Now, can we aid in their Salvation? ONLY if the Spirit of God will spiritually awaken them to the Light of Christ Jesus and draw them to it.
• This is God’s responsibility to do, not ours or yours.
• You cannot come to Jesus without God’s call to invite you to adopt you into His family plan.
• This is that knowledge of God that God has that many reject to come into the knowledge of.
• We believe that God is so in love with us that He won’t reject us, but He rejects what He already know and have seen.
• St John 6:44 No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
• KJV Amplified says no one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.

5 For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus’ sake.

St Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ephesians 4:18-24 Your spiritual awakening into the new life as a new creature in Christ.

18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But ye have not so learned Christ;

21 If so be that ye have heard Him, and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:

• There is no other truth for this Gospel, no additives, no alternatives.

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

• You MUST allow the spiritual transformation of the Spirit of God to take place in you to rebirth you to Himself as a new creature in Him.

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

How do you know if you are spiritually blind?

• By and through your inability to discern the truth (all truth) and your willing disobedience to resist and reject the spiritual calling of God.

Causes of spiritual blindness.

• Sin, pride, and rejecting God and His Word through His Son Jesus the Christ as their/your Lord and Savior.
• Only the Spirit of God can open the eyes of your heart to replace it as new to understand and accept His spiritual truths.
• Jesus is the light of the world.
• St John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
• Those that are spiritually blind are walking in spiritual darkness following the patterns and the power of the world, their flesh, and the devil. Without the spiritual light of Jesus, they will remain spiritually lost in spiritual darkness.
• This is why the conscience of many rehearses slavery and its bondage repeatedly. It is an evil spirit that has captivated many generations even today! Except the mind of the heart of the people that embrace it are spiritually healed and delivered they will always remember it though they were not apart of it, live in it as a part of their being based upon the knowledge of it, and even behave in it to walk it out as those who really suffered it.
• Remember the Holy Spirit enables those who are born again new creatures in Christ to spiritually discern spiritual truth and to be transformed with a renewed mind.
• Being transformed into a new creature in Christ is crucial in overcoming spiritual blindness to successfully pave the way for your spiritual growth in Christ.
• Spiritual blindness is a state that prevents every born-again individual from perceiving, understanding, and accepting spiritual truths. It is due to a hardened heart and/or willful ignorance that refuses the Will of God and His righteousness to be lived in the earth.
