Are you spiritually growing in the measure of Jesus’ Stature?

Introduction

• In this New Year the devil will come after your faith in Christ through test, trials, tribulations, influences, manipulations, sufferings, and sacrifices against your stewardship in Christ, and your faithfulness to do and honor the Will of God.  You MUST know truthfully the measure of your faith in Christ and your flesh MUST be crucified.
• Some believe that the devil is attacking their anointing and the call of God upon their life. Naw, its your belief in Christ Jesus that he is after.
• Some believe that the devil is attacking their character and their temporal possessions. Naw, it’s your faith in God through Christ Jesus and the accepted Word of God.
• Some say that the enemy is using people: husbands, wives, children, sisters, and brothers to come against them. Naw, its to cause you to focus on them to doubt God and His Word over you; for you to rebel against the Will of God so you can believe as the devil does against God.

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

• The Grace of God is the unmerited, undeserved, and unearned favor of God upon us. It is the gift of God that saves us, justifies us, and redeems us.
• To think soberly means to think in a serious and calm way by understanding who you are through God’s perspectives.
• Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
• When we know and understand this, we will then be able to do verses 12-14 in Jeremiah 29.
• 12 Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
• So, God really does use the devil in our choice of captivities to bring us into His perfect Will.
• God has given to every one of us as born-again believers in Christ a measure, meaning a portion of a specific amount of the faith of Jesus to live out our redeemed life as new creatures in Him to fulfill His and our true purpose in life on the earth.
• This is not to say I have more faith than you or you have more than I, but it is to say that our faith in Jesus has been measured out to you and me for our God given purpose which is measured out to be the full stature of Jesus in the earth through you.
• When we come into Salvation the faith of Jesus is our beginning faith to start out with because we DO NOT possess a faith that can or will align with the Will of God in Christ Jesus.
• Our faith MUST be the faith of Jesus to walk in and walk out the new life in Salvation prescribed by God Himself in and through His Word.
• And Satan knows this as well. He is counting on you not to hear this or come into the knowledge of this spiritual truth.
• Satan knows that if you rely on your intellect and its ability to learn he will still possess you.
• Your spiritual knowledge of Jesus Christ should perfect or mature your spiritual growth into becoming like Jesus as His spiritual stature reaches His fullness in you.
• Stature here refers to Jesus’ faith, His spiritual height, His spiritual development, His spiritual maturity in understanding of God’s divinity, His holiness, and His righteousness.
• The Greek word for stature comes from the word “helikia” which translates to mean “age or maturity”.
• The full stature of Christ in us must start from a child to His adulthood.
• St Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
• Colossians 2:9-10 9 For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.                               10 And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:
• The full stature of Christ Jesus is the full spiritual standards of Christ’s perfection which is spiritually growing into a mature spirit being encased in a body with a full understanding of knowledge and wisdom of Gods divinity as a Son. This is going on inside of your soul as you choose to accept the Will of God over your Will!
• The full stature of Christ Jesus in you will reflect and reveal the portrait of Jesus in every aspect of your new life in Christ marked by His holiness, righteousness, and truth in the earth.
• The spiritual stature of Jesus is the transitioning of being transformed into the spiritual stature which is the image of God after their likeness to live as a spirit being encased in a human body just as Jesus did.
• Jesus did experience full life as a human being but as a spirit encased in a human body.
• How would it be His spiritual stature? Jesus came in the likeness of sinful flesh. (Romans 8:3). He came as a quickening spirit to give spiritual life back to all mankind.
• 1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
• Quickening means to make alive; revive or resuscitate from spiritual death.

Ephesians 4:12-15

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: (This is still personal and individual that we all spiritually come in the unity of the faith of Christ and the knowledge of Him).

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the heard, even Christ:

Speaking truth, living truth, loving truth will grow up in you which is a part of Jesus’ stature.

In closing,

• We get the faith of Jesus through our belief and acceptance in the Spirit of the Word of God, not the logos, but the rhema.
• Logo is where many are without the Spirit of the Word.
• Logo is reason or the rational principle expressed in words and things, arguments, or justifications. Word, speech, or the act of speaking, or reason.
• Teaching and preaching the logos of the Word keeps you opinionated in the Word of God whereas you believe that you really are a little god telling God your comments, suggestions, and opinion over His Word for mankind.
• Rhema of the Word is the revelation of God in His finite Wisdom as Jesus the Messiah.
• Rhema the spoken Word or utterance. A Word spoken from God in faith and is a spiritual force that is designed to reach and awaken the spirit of Man (soul).
• Every word that comes from God’s mouth through a chosen vessel is a rhema word and is true and is compared to the teachings of the Word of God in scripture.
• St Luke 1:70-75; 2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
• The rhema Word is inspired by God or God-breathed.
• Our spiritual lives MUST be built on Jesus Christ being our Lord and Savior, our Rock on which we stand.
• Jesus’ stature began as a baby in wisdom and favor as an infant. He grew in wisdom and favor to perfection for each stage of His life.
• Being born-again as a new creature in Christ must be the exact same.
