Who’s winning over you?

• The battle over your soul is a spiritual battle, but it’s not yours it’s the Lords.
• The spiritual battle is NOT over your temporal, materialistic possessions, just your soul.

Ephesian 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

• This verse of scripture speaks of a spiritual battle going on for your soul and its life existence, but it’s not your battle it’s the Lords.
• So, your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the wicked powers that want to control and dominate your soul.
• These powers come in the form of people that use the color of your skin (racism); to be considered as a god and lord over all mankind. The love of money and over money to control, etc.

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds); 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 6. And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (your part when you pray).

• This is where your part of prayer comes in to petition God through prayer and supplication to fight using His Divine power.
• God can release His Divine power through His word in you when you have submitted your whole being to Him for Him to do His Will, all through the power of God and not human strength.
• The Spirit of God can access your spirituality inwardly through your spirit. The spirit of Satan cannot.
• Satan influences and control is over your soul’s awakening, his existence, and his responses to God once he is awakened.
• Satan operates and function in the earth through flesh that is uncrucified by triggering it through the influence of the 5-senses in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Satan controls through your flesh and your body senses through the lust of your eyes, the lust of your flesh, and your prideful life and lifestyle for your human natural man.
• We often talk about spiritual battles, “the powers that be”, powers against powers, etc.
• We as intercessors love to go in with the Word of God and not the Author of the Word to pull down strong holds, shut down, and destroy Satan’s kingdom verbally, but have no spiritual power to do so.
• Spiritual strongholds are defined as barriers that will tempt to captivate and trap believers in seasons of sin, cycles of sin, pleasures of sin, fear, doubt, and bondage.
• Barriers to your faith in Christ and to your spiritual growth.
• Spiritual strongholds are also mental crutches that accompanies the negative behaviors of your old life to distort your faith and new life in Christ Jesus.
• Understanding the nature of your strongholds will enable you as a born-again believer to recognize their existence in your life and take the necessary spiritual steps to pull them down according to the Word of God. The nature of your stronghold is sin.
• The spirit of the Word fully empowers us as believers to address every issue in our life used to rationalize the sin, doubt, and unbelief in our lives that will delay our forgiving, repenting, loving, etc.
• This is so when we study to be approved by God and His Will to be done by rightly dividing His Word in truth, 2 Timothy 2:15.
• Your studying of God’s Word must be approved by God for its use and intent.
• Ephesians 6:10-11 teaches us to be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that will enable you to stand against the wiles of the devil.
• Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
• The armor of God is spiritual armor. This armor is spiritually fashioned upon you based upon your faith in Christ, the Word of God you have yielded to in your heart to do the service of God His Way. Your studying and prayer life is all a part of your service.
• God sees it and so does the devil see the armor that you are wearing.
• Ephesians 6:14-18 tell us what equipment as a spiritual soldier should be always wearing. There is nothing else!
• Many believers perform theatrically and really don’t possess spiritual authority as they display. Why? Jesus said that this kind only goes out by fasting and praying. St Matthew 17:20-21 says 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
• Prayer and especially fasting are two things that all believers should do but many believers don’t do, won’t do, can’t do, and don’t believe in doing.
• And in all their unbelief the battle is spiritual and is between God and Satan over their soul where both are using you and I to fight over and against one another for your soul.
• Remember you have been dealt a measure of faith. So, stay in your lane of faith to learn, grow, and operate there from there spiritually.
• If you have been dealt a measure of faith to just pray, witness, win souls, etc. do that and stay faithful to that.
• Stop allowing the lust of your eyes and your flesh make you think you have been called to save and minister to nations upon nations, because if you can’t believe in Christ for a headache or a pain or an addiction. Selah!.
• Many know how to stay in their lane when being rebellion toward God and His Word or being confrontational toward others in what they don’t want to do with jealously because you are doing and they are not.
• Intercessors want to and try to move Heaven. As some would say “we are going to bombard Heaven”.
• The definition for bombard means to attack (a place or person) continuously with bombs, shells, and missiles.
• Now why would anyone saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost and fire want to do that to Heaven? A place where God Himself lives!
• Heaven will not be moved especially without Jesus in you and controlling you.
• Intercessors are praying according to tradition and religion, their Will, and how they feel toward and against an issue, circumstance, or situation by using the Word of God inappropriately, but Jesus is not with them.
• They gather to pray from a human perspective and not God’s spiritual perspective, His Will, or His agenda for earth.
• God deals only with the spirit of Man which is a spirit to change and renew him inwardly from what the rudiments of sin and shame has done to him and to free him spiritually free from sin, transgression, iniquity, and bondage.
• James and John gathered together with a spirit of vindictiveness and Jesus had to rebuke that spirit in them. St Luke 9:54-56 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from Heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
• Jesus had “set His face to go to Jerusalem” meaning He was determined to go to Jerusalem by way of Samaria.
• A spirit of vindictiveness is a spirit of revenge; to harm someone in response to a perceived wrong; a vengeful character or quality.
• When you pray while being in the midst of the battle that God is already in with Satan for your soul, what are you really praying for or praying about?
• If you are praying for your needs, why? When the Word clearly says your Heavenly Father knows what you have need of.
• St Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.
• So, if your prayers are not for a spiritual need, but you persist in begging, and fighting outside the Spirit, then what are you really praying for? Why?
• Why not just yield your mind, spirit, soul, body, and strength to the Will of God so He can become legal on earth through you to do according to His Will.
• Because this battle is spiritual and requires a spiritual divine force of power to fix every issue, circumstance, and situation of the spirit man. Healing and deliverance must be down inwardly because they are spiritually done inwardly to permeate outwardly.
• Our role in this spiritual battle over your soul is too lean not toward your own understanding.
• Proverbs 3:5 says trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. This is how the Word of God guides the spirit Man in you.
• Can you hear the Word to obey it and trust it?
• Proverbs 3:6 goes on to say in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
• Should you acknowledge the Lord to pray? I believe so! This way your prayers will be prayed by the Spirit allowing Jesus to make intercession, and they won’t be found to be repetitious.
• St Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
• James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
• Amiss means not quite right, inappropriate, or out of place.
• Consume means that you may use, waist, or expend what you ask for upon your own motive and lust.
• Lust is of the flesh!
• Yes, I know that Jesus said men ought to always pray, and not to faint; St Luke 18:1.
• What does that mean? It means to maintain a habit of staying focused and in total communications regularly with the Spirit of God in all your ways in word, deed, action, and thought.
• Stay continuously aware of the Presence of God in and over your life and lifestyle.
• This will put you in the spiritual area of walking by the Spirit, walking by faith, being led and guided by the Spirit.
• Praying to fight a battle that is already won through the faith of Jesus is a prayer to be prayed by your spirit without your human version of tradition and religions in its form of godliness.
•  “To always pray” establishes relationship with God the Father. This is where your integrity is complete. You are now honest about the thoughts of your heart to Him. You are willing to tell Him though He already knows.
• This is the new life in Christ that is marked by persistence, faith, and trust in God and WILL keep your flesh crucified.

Strongholds can also breed these things in believers if they are not spiritually cautious.

• Arguments raised against the knowledge of God.
• Lofty opinions raised against the knowledge of God.
• Thoughts (or ideas) that would lead someone away from obeying Christ.
• Trying to fight in a natural carnal manner in a spiritual battle is like oil and water mixture. Oil and water have no connection. They will always separate because they have different chemical properties.
