St Matthew 7:24-29
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
- We are speaking spiritually here to your soul, not to your gender.

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
- Whenever a wise man likens himself to the Will of God and His righteousness no matter what comes, or who goes, or who tries to spiritually tear down the foundation built by the Spirit of God through Jesus their foundation and its building materials will not fall or fail because his foundation is built upon that Rock (His faith) and its cornerstone is Jesus.
- Jesus went on to say that a foolish man that builds his spiritual foundation upon the sands, with the sands representing the world, its systems, the of lust flesh, the lust of his eyes, and the pride of his life.
- So, when the test, trials, tribulations, sufferings, and sacrifices come to his house which is built on temporal, materialistic stuff great will be his fall and the fall of his spiritual foundation.
- You know the old nursery rhyme that says Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall; all the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men couldn’t put Humpty back together again.
- Here is the spiritual metaphor for Humpty Dumpty. It is in reference to a broken, fallen king or monarch that sat on the wall of indecision (inability to decide quickly), giving into ours fears, stops and hinders the spiritual growth of the spirit man in all human beings. He had a GREAT FALL. This fall was a fall from grace to descend into darkness. Once a leader fall there is no going back.
Jeremiah 23:1 Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture, says the Lord.

Proverbs 15:5 A fool despiseth his father’s instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
- Leaving home wrong, the wrong way will always put you in the valley of decisions.
- Because when you refuse the counsel, instructions, and discipline of your parent(s) you set yourself up for a great fall in life. All through your life until you go back and repent will follow you that spirit of rebellion and the spirit of disobedience that comes with a Burger King attitude.
- How you treated and entreated the counsel of home is the exact same way you will treat the spiritual calling of God to come to Jesus.
Ephesians 5:15-17
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the Will of the Lord is.
- Circumspectly means to live with wisdom and prudence. It’s a call to be vigilant and make choices that align with God’s Will.
Here are some examples of foolish behavior:
- Cheating on test, applications, or documents of information concerning you. In other words, just lying.
- Foolish comments
- Gossiping, Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
- Meddling in the matters of others, Proverbs 26:17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
- Speaking quickly too much (outspoken), Proverbs 17:28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
- Inadvisable. Unwise, imprudent. You cannot tell a foolish person nothing. First, they cannot hear to be advised of anything.
- Being stubborn, Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
- Trust in their money, riches Proverbs 11:28; 15:16 11.28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. 15.16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.
- No self-control, Proverbs 25:28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
- Lazy, Proverbs 13:4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
- This is not referring to weight gain that shows up on the outward man. It is the opposite of being fat in the spirit.
- Not planning, Proverbs 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.
In closing,
1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself, If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
- To become wise in Christ is to be ignorant in all that you know to learn and know the way of spirituality according to the Will of God.
- The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.
1 Corinthians 1:27 says He takes the foolish things of this world to shame the wise; He chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
- He will take you and I which is insignificant in the eyes of many to make us powerful in Him to achieve great things (greater works) in the earth for Him.
- Look at what He did with Jesus’ life up to His crucifixion which was and is considered even today as being senseless and foolishness to the world, the flesh, and the devil but ultimately leads to Salvation for all mankind to be reconciled back to God the Father for our soul’s redemption.
Amen
