Walking In The Spirit

Walking in the Spirit –This is the believers’ walk (Apostle Tracey Robinson)

Galatians 5:14-19

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

  • Your flesh really is against God.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

  • That is under the Law, the bondage, the transgression of your flesh.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

  • These are the works of your flesh that hinders you from doing what the Spirit says do.
  • And it should trouble you that it’s you that is stopping the free flow of the Spirit in you.

Galatians 5:14 reference Leviticus 19:18 KJV Amplified You shall not take revenge or bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Galatians 5:15 KJV Amplified But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another.

  • It could tear up the body’s unity in the House.
  • Partisan means a strong supporter of a party, cause, or person; prejudiced in favor of a particular cause.
  • Strife means angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues; conflict.
  • It is the Spirit that guides so that we won’t submit to the law of our flesh and its lusts, appetites, habits, and practices.
  • It is the Spirit that is our proof that we are Sons of God.
  • To be in the Body of the Christ, that is the Church we must learn to love one another; love our neighbor; love our brother as we love ourselves.
  • If it is hard for you to love one another you need to ask yourself do I love myself.
  • If we bicker, argue, backbite, disagree, and then try to form a group (clicks per say) to take sides with each other in our ungodliness then we affect the whole assembly of fellowship in that House. That is the spirit of Satan!
  • This is that partisan strife: being a strong supporter (the ring leader, the head in charge) of anger and bitter disagreement over the Order of God in the House of Prayer.
  • Walking in the Spirit mortifies your flesh! Your flesh cannot live, dictate, and make its habits, practices, and appetites appealing to you because you are no longer feeling its desires of ungodliness.
  • Walking in the Spirit is what Jesus portrayed to all mankind.
  • Walking in the Spirit is proof that the Spirit of God was with Jesus.
  • Walking in the Spirit today will prove the exact same for you as you hear the Spirit of God, execute His Words, and walk in His commands.

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

  • When people walk up to you and express to you how you look so good, that is everlasting life they see.
  • Everlasting life and time have teamed up together on your behalf slowing down that aging process of the flesh, by redeeming your time for.
  • Sowing to your flesh with its stuff and it only reaps corruption.
  • Walking in the Spirit will escort you into worthiness of your call in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

  • What is a Son of God?
  • One that their image and likes of God is back
  • One that says what Jesus said, “ I come to do the meet of Him that sent me”
  • One that the Holy Spirit owns and has total control of and over.
  • One that is possessed by the love of the Father toward him and mankind.
  • When we walk in the Spirit this is how we should walk as citizens representing the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness in earth in humility, meekness, longsuffering, forbearing one another in the spirit of love, with unity, and peace, along with so many more attributes of his Father.

Ephesians 4:1-7

1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

  • (Vocation is a person’s employment or main occupation, especially regarded as particularly worthy and requiring great dedication)

2 With all lowliness, and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

  • No need or room for denominations made by man with his knowledge of good and evil; tradition and religion; ceremonial formalism and rituals.

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to measure of the gift of Christ.

  • We should represent the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness by living and leading a life that exemplifies the worth of the divine calling of the Spirit of God and His attraction that is in us.
  • Our behavior, mannerism, and character are a credit to the summons of being called into God’s service to serve Him to mankind just as Jesus did.
  • We should allow the Holy Spirit to teach us to live and become a Son just as Jesus demonstrated and portrayed.
  • Walking in the Spirit causes us to be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of and produced by the Spirit Himself toward one another in peace.
  • We are living in a time now where the Spirit of the Christ in you must walk this walk for you.
  • Generations in time have proven that the flesh cannot do this. God knows how to do it!
  • Walking in the Spirit is not hard! It is not a putting on and taking off process depending on where you are and who you are with.
  • Walking in the Spirit requires total submission to the Spirit of God.
  • Walking in the Spirit requires total surrender of your Will, its knowledge, your ways, thoughts, mimics, etc.

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

  • Walking in the Spirit requires an aroma that the Spirit of God smells within you as you walk in His Order.
  • You/we send up a fragrance that draws God to your attention. Believe it or not a scent does this!
  • Walk in the Spirit circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.
  • Circumspectly means to be cautious; wary and unwilling to take risks.
  • Trying to wear two faces in the Presence of God and His people is a risk.
  • Allowing your flesh to enjoy the pleasures of sin, and then come together amongst the people of God pretending and claiming to be holier than thou when there is sin at your door. This is a willing risk! Especially when nothing is hidden from God. He sees everything!
  • Being cautious and mindful of the habits, practices, desires of your flesh and bring them into subjection to the Will of God is being cautious and unwilling to take the risks it now offers you as a new creature in Christ.
  • Jesus walked in the Spirit to fulfill His mission in earth and it pleased the Lord God. He brought the Lord God pleasure in all He did in earth.
  • Walking in the Spirit proved that He was not of this world.
  • Walking in the Spirit will prove that you are not of this world also.
  • Walking in the Spirit releases the power, influence, and authority of the Kingdom of God that sent you.
  • This is where signs and wonders follows the Gospel of the Kingdom.
  • Walking in the Spirit validates the Kingdom’s influence and authority in you.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

  • Walking in the Spirit allows us to know our brethren that are also in the Light, whereas we will then have fellowship one to another with them in Spirit and in Truth.
  • It is the Light of the Spirit, in word, deed, action, and thought that bring us together, not a liked interest, activities, etc.
  • It will even bring us to one another in the Spirit to know our need and fulfill it. This is both of the spirit beings walking in the Spirit of the Light of God, so when that truth is released you will receive!
  • Jesus said in St Matthew 10:8 “freely ye have received, freely give”.
  • Walking in the Spirit helps us to cleanse one another in the Spirit of love, humility, and meekness.
  • When walking in the Spirit we are not afraid of one another and the calling.
  • Yes, we have the power to forgive and remit the sins of our brethren through the Spirit of reconciliation.
