Spiritual Deliverance
• 5 years ago on this day, Wednesday, May 1st we taught “Purpose versus SIN and its luxury. Which one are you choosing?
• Today, 5 years later we are teaching on “Spiritual Deliverance” referring to the new creature in you and not the outward, natural man.
• There is no spiritual deliverance for anyone’s flesh and its works. Why? Because the Word of God is true.
• Paul told us through his spiritual experiences, encounters, and his deliverance as well as in the knowledge of Christ that in him, that is in his flesh dwells no good thing.
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to Will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
• Paul is speaking here to our spirit that I can Will to do right but I cannot perform it on my own. I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.
• Jesus even said in St John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Mne, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
• Tradition and religion give a one-sided version of Salvation.
1 Corinthians 2:14-15 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
• The natural man’s ability to human reason understands objectively and to even memorize the Word of God does not give him the ability to know the Spiritual things of God. Although, the devil wants you to believe that you can know, understand and do God’s Will through your 5-sense ability in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Your natural man is not spiritual and will never be.
• Your natural man cannot accept the Will of God and His righteousness or welcome His Will into his old unregenerated heart, the gifts of God, His teachings, and revelations of the knowledge of God Himself.
• Spiritual things are meaningless to your humanism of the natural man.
• Your natural man is NOT willing to perceive or accept the gift of God’s Salvation. Why? Because the Spirit of God’s Will and Word is an enemy to your flesh and its Will.
• The Spirit of God’s Word perceived in your heart will mortify your flesh and make it ready for its crucifixion.
• Genesis 3:15 God put enmity between the serpent and the woman, and between the serpents seed and the woman’s seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.
• Enmity means mutual hostility between the persecutor and persecuted.
• There is a mutual hatred of ill-will between the woman and her offsprings and the serpent and his offspring.
• Your physical, natural man tries through deception to portray spirituality which is a form of godliness that will always deny the delivering and sanctifying power of the Word of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
• All things in spiritual deliverance are about the awakening of the new creature in you. All things are of God with no past or knowledge of the old man and his nature included.
• This is why your new life in Christ has no past with a history to gravitate from and to.
• Salvation is a heart replacement process that comes to transform you and I back to our original created self in the beginning.
• Spiritual deliverance in Christ is hope, healing, and freedom from the oppressive forces of sin that we all were born in which seek to hinder our relationship with God and our spiritual growth.
• Jesus Christ was sent by the Father to save humanity from sin and death that created a life of oppressive issues, circumstances, and situations that are spiritually related to the inner man (soul) and to hinder all from our ability to come to Jesus to get back to the Father. Such oppressive situations that we are all born in are sin, sicknesses, enemies, evil control, abuse, and other spiritual forces of evil.
• Psalm 51:5-6 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
• You don’t have to have been born in slavery with racism at an all time high through man’s ignorance of God’s Will and his desire to control God’s creation for his evil use and evil purposes. Being born in this world is born in sin!
• Spiritual deliverance means to free your soul (the inner man) from the bondages of sin and death through its spiritual awakening and transforming power of the Spirit of God impregnating you with His Spirit. This is an act of Divine intervention in the life of your soul!
• The seed of God’s Spirit impregnating your spirit to become like His Son Jesus in every way.
• Spiritual deliverance is change from; to set free from to preserve for God’s use and purpose in earth.
• Spiritual deliverance is being set free from the penalty of sin and its consequences by having the faith of Jesus in God.
• St John 8:32, 36 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Romans 6:18, 22; 8:2
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
• Your old nature made you servants to sin and unrighteousness.
• Supposedly being morally good does not change the factor of your old nature.
• The new life as a new creature makes your old life dead to you. If you are dead, you are freed from sin. (Romans 6:7).
Romans 6:10-23 Read. A couple of verses will be repeated.
• Being set free from your sin and death does not mean that you “return” back to your old, learned ways that are in the knowledge of good and evil.
• Believers that don’t get healed need to understand that God will not heal you to go back to your old way(s) of doing.
22 But now being made free from, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
8.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
• Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
• Entangle means to cause to become twisted together with or caught in; be involved in difficult or complicated circumstances from which it will be difficult for you to escape.
• Don’t co-mingle your liberty with bondage again once the Spirit of the Word has and is delivering you.
• Don’t be hampered, held ensnared, and submit yourselves again to a yoke of sinful slavery now that the Spirit of the Word of God has set you free.
• Spiritual freedom refers to a sense, not a feeling but a sense of inner liberation and self-awareness that we/you need a Savior and Lord.
• Accepting Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior allows every born-again new creature in Him to live their life aligned with their true purpose and plan of God.
• Your spiritual conversion to transforming you involves transcending from the lust, desires, habits, practices, and behavior of your flesh and its Will, the world, and the devil.
• Transcend means be or go beyond the range or limits of your flesh to spiritually grow and mature into the measure of the full stature of Jesus Christ in you.
• When allowing the Spirit of God to do so you will spiritually transcend from the world, the flesh, and the devil by releasing yourself from the attachments of this world with their societal conditioning that limits your spiritual belief.
What is physical deliverance? Does that awaken your spirituality? Let’s look briefly at the children of Israel.
• Physical deliverance is an outward symbol of your spiritual Salvation and its processing’s as the Spirit of God through Jesus frees you from the bondage of your old nature, its sin, penalties, and consequences.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
• Physical deliverance will not awaken your spirituality because your flesh will never get saved, freed, or delivered, but it will give you awareness through your conscience.
• Conscience is that inner voice that alerts you, warns you, and serves as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of your behavior in actions and reactions to a particular situation or in your response to others.
• Your spirituality is an awareness you must come into in knowing that sin is misery and death to your body.
• You must become aware that you are a wretch undone and you cannot do nothing without the Lord God, as you come into the knowledge of knowing that you are sinful and in need of a Savior.
• Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the bod of this death?
• Wretched is of a person in a very unhappy or unfortunate state; of poor quality; very bad; used to express anger or annoyance.
• Spirituality is the quality of life generated and nourished by the Spirit of God, in which every born-again new creature in Christ experiences; the joy of the pleasures of spirituality in Christ is to encounter the power and presence of the Spirit of God in and throughout your earthly life.
• True spirituality comes from living under the direct control and influence of the Holy Spirit and is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:20-21), spiritual perfection (maturity), deliverance, healing, sanctification, and holiness.
• 3 John verse 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
• The phrase “even as” means at the same time as; it is used to indicate that two actions or events are happening simultaneously or at the same time. It emphasizes the parallel nature of the actions.
• So, there really is no way you are being blessed by the Lord in the natural with natural possessions and in the spirit, you are shallow and imbalanced. There is no parallel alignment with the two!
• Evaluate your blessings to see who they are really from!
In closing,
• The children of Israel lived under the Law and experienced a physical deliverance from the hands of Pharoah by the Divine Hand of God.
• Their relationship with God was through the covenant God made with Abraham. The covenant God made with Israel contained conditions, duties, and obligations known in the Old Testament as the Mosaic Law. Their acceptance of those conditions cemented their relationship with God. But their disobedience would cut them off from the blessings that God had promised.
• The covenant God made served as a foreshadowing of the Church Galatians 6:15-17.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
• Israel’s responsibility within their relationship with God was to remain faithful by obeying God’s commandments, statutes, laws, and judgments (Deuteronomy 7:6-11).
• God sanctified Israel by setting then apart as a holy nation.
• Their responsibilities included being a testimony of obedient service to God.
• Ceremonial laws defined their holiness, including distinctions between clean and unclean.
• The children of Israel lived under the law and tried to practice the Laws of God daily but through their flesh and its weakness they could not be delivered leaving them still spiritually bond.
• Are you free tonight in and through your Salvation according to the Holy Scriptures?
• Does your spirituality align with and sync with the Kingdon of God in Heaven so as it is in Heaven and in earth?
Amen
