• Desire means to long or hope for; to express a wish for: request or ask; conscious impulse toward something that promises enjoyment or satisfaction in its attainment.
• Having a strong affection for, having a yearning after.
• Having a yearning desire after the Father God is for your desire to be a longing intense desire for the Will of God and His righteousness in you, your new life, and to be revealed in the earth to all. Your life and lifestyle will sing “what a mighty God I serve”.
• Your Will becomes the extreme force and strength to whatever degree it will take to measure up to the pleasure that God desires in you.
• The strength and strong force of every spirit encased in a human body is the Will. Your Will is your weapon!
• The energy of your strength becomes the Will of God in Christ Jesus to do whatever He command you to do for His glory and honor.

Psalm 37:3-9

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also (that is in addition too) in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

• Delight means to please (someone) greatly, a cause or source of great pleasure.
• Wait now we are getting ready to trust in Him, delight in Him which gives Him pleasure.
• Psalm 149:4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with Salvation.
• God is going to adorn the humbled one, the quiet in spirit one, the gentle one, the easily imposed one, the submissive one with His Salvation.
• Jesus is our Salvation. God is going to make His people more beautiful and attractive with the image and likeness of a Son, His Son.
• Then He will give you the desires of His heart through the new regenerated heart that He talks about in Ezekiel 36:26-27.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

• Commit means to pledge or bind to a certain course or policy; to carry out or penetrate a criminal act, mistake, or immoral act, but I’m going to say the Will of God.

6 And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

• Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as He said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
• The works of His Hand in creation; the works of the Hands of His Son Jesus to fulfill His assignment to restore ALL mankind back into reconciliation with the Father, that is whosoever Will, let them come.
• Rest means to cease from your learned labor, work or movement of your independent doings to relax, refresh oneself, and recover strength spiritually in Christ.
• We rest in the Lord so that He can renew our spiritual strength in Him. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
• Rest means to “enter His rest “according to the Will of the Lord while He do all the work, not be lazy, procrastinate, and say I’m believing God for it.
• The work that we do as born-again new creatures is simply having faith, confidence, trust, hope, and love in the Lord as it produces the fruit of His Spirit.
• He lets you know right here that the devil blesses in verse 7.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you.

13 And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.

In closing,

• Every new creature in Christ should have an affectionately desirous yearning for the Spirit of God.
• Desire exercising the Will, to wish, implying power (volition the faculty or power of using one’s Will) and purpose frequently with a determination to please, commit, and dedicate one’s Will to become the Will of God.
• God’s desires in you should have a zeal (energetic and unflagging pursuit of an aim or a devotion to a cause; a strong enthusiasm that makes someone very eager or determined to do something) for God, toward God, and zeal to witness for Him, to be an example of His Word in the earth.
• God’s desires are the desires of the new creature in you.
• Your soul’s intimate desire is to hear the voice of the Lord God again, the voice of his Father walking in his midst again coming to see about him, coming to talk with him in love and in fellowship, and in his dominion state of servitude to do the Will of his Father in Spirit and in Truth.
